Dying to meet someone with the same heart as me,

Someone who understands my deepest fears and dreams,

Someone who is just like me, yet unique,

Someone who is honest, loyal and true.

I am tired of searching for that soul,

Who would match me in every single role,

Who would light my world with undying love,

Who would complete me like a hand in glove.

I have roamed around in search of this mate,

Exploring different paths and opening gates,

Meeting different faces and personalities,

But deep within, found out it was just fallacies.

I have swam across oceans to find this heart,

Going places even though it was tough to start,

Crossing borders and facing every obstacle,

Moving forward, just to meet that miracle.

I've searched high in the mountains and deep in the valleys,

Trying to find, that person who is my soul's ally,

Whose heart beats in sync with mine,

Whose every move resonates with my prime.

I've stayed up late nights hoping for this love,

Praying to the heavens to send me a dove,

Sending messages through smoke signals and flares,

But then, no one ever showed that they really care.

I've been patient through the years,

Hoping to find that soul which straightens out my fears,

Whom I can trust with all my being,

Whose mere presence makes my life worth living.

I've been waiting for this special someone,

With whom I can share my every moment,

From glistening sunsets to the darkest night,

Together we'll march as one in this endless fight.

Oh, my heart is so desperately eager,

To find that person with whom I can measure,

Every happiness, every strife,

Every laughter, every cry.

I need that person who would soothe my soul,

Whose light would cast away my own ghoul,

A person to hold my hand and never leave,

Whose love, would make my heart truly live.

I wait with every passing day,

Believing that my heart's companion will come my way,

And when we meet, oh it will be like magic in the air,

Because finally, my heart will have found its one true pair.
