Silent Confessions

Nothing feels heavier than Unsaid words,
A burden that we carry, like a weight we can't ignore;
It eats at us, consuming our hearts and our souls,
Leaving us feeling empty, with a gaping, gaping hole.

We keep our secrets locked within,
Afraid to reveal the truth;
Holding onto our fears and doubts,
Living in a world of youth.

The silence screams inside of us,
Our minds trapped in a cage;
We long to speak the words we hold,
To free ourselves from our own rage.

But still, we stay quiet,
Hiding behind our masks;
Pretending everything is fine,
When really we're wearing a facade.

We keep our struggles to ourselves,
Afraid of what others might say;
Fear of judgment, fear of rejection,
Keeps us from finding our way.
