Learn to live when people leave,
A task harder than we may perceive.
It can feel like the rug was pulled away,
Leaving us lost and without a way.

We may feel hurt, angry, and betrayed,
A swirl of emotions we can’t evade.
We wonder why they had to go,
And if we’ll ever heal from the blow.

The emptiness can be deafening,
A silence that’s truly menacing.
We’re left with memories of what we had,
And the pain of knowing it’s something we can’t get back.

We try to make sense of the pain,
But it’s like walking in a never-ending rain.
The tears, the sadness, they don’t dry up,
And we wonder if we’ll ever be enough.

But through the ashes of the hurt and pain,
We can find a way to rise again.
We can learn to live with what’s behind,
And create a new path that’s more aligned.

We can choose to focus on what we’ve gained,
The lessons learned in the midst of the pain.
We can forgive, let go, and move on,
And find new reasons to forge on.

In the wake of loss, we can rebuild,
Acknowledge the hurt, and learn to heal.
We can find a way to fill the gap,
And empower ourselves to rise above the trap.

We can’t change what’s been done,
But we can change what happens from now on.
We can create a new reality,
That’s rich with purpose and clarity.

We can transform the dark and bleak,
Into a light that’s bright and unique.
We can choose to see the beauty in the world,
And allow ourselves to unfurl.

Through courage and strength, we can find our way,
To rewrite the script and seize the day.
We can learn to live with those who’ve gone,
And find a way to carry on.

And so, we learn to live when people leave,
Not an easy task, but one we can achieve.
We can choose to move beyond the pain,
And turn loss into a chance to gain.
