Mistakes

Some mistakes take us to the right place
I have been there, confined in a tiny box of despair
Feeling utterly hopeless and alone, suffocating
It was a dark, treacherous place
I made choices that led me astray
I hurt people, including myself, carelessly

There were days I wished I could undo my actions
But what's done is done, and I couldn't take back time
I had to live with my mistakes, face the consequences
And it felt like a never-ending torture

But as time passed and wounds started to heal
I began to see new horizons
Small victories that lifted my spirits
The chance to learn and grow, to evolve

I discovered that sometimes we need to get lost
To find our way back home, to redefine our purpose
It is in the agony of our wrongdoings
That we discover strength and self-awareness

My mistakes led me towards new experiences
I met people I would have otherwise ignored
I faced my fears, and it was liberating
I learned from my failures and promised to do better

Through my journey, I realized that we are all afraid of making mistakes
We try to conform to societal expectations, to fit in
But it is when we venture out of our comfort zone
That we make the greatest discoveries

What if I didn't take that detour, what if I did what was expected of me
I wouldn't have found my passion
That thing that fills my heart with joy
The thing that makes me feel alive

And so I encourage you
Don't be afraid to take risks, to make mistakes
Because sometimes, those wrong turns
Lead to the right destination

Life is unpredictable, and we can't control everything
But we can control how we react
To the cards we are dealt with

So embrace your flaws and imperfections
They are what make you unique and beautiful
But also, hold yourself accountable
For your actions and be kind to yourself

As I look back, I am grateful for my journey through mistakes
It wasn't easy, and sometimes I wanted to give up
But I am here, still standing
Stronger, wiser, and better than before.
