Change is uncomfortable but necessary,
It stirs up emotions we try to bury,
For it disrupts the order of our life,
Unsettles the rhythm we embrace with strife.
It comes unannounced, with no warning,
Like a gust of wind on a calm morning,
It makes us feel like we're losing control,
And it tests the mettle of our soul.
We resist it with all our might,
We try to hold on with all our sight,
For the fear of the unknown is daunting,
And the comfort of the familiar is haunting.
We cling to the past with a desperate grip,
Hoping that the change would slowly slip,
But time and tide wait for none,
Change comes, whether we're ready or none.
It comes in different shapes and sizes,
Some are blessings in perfect disguises,
While some come as unwelcome guests,
Bringing pain and chaos in their behest.
It might be a change in job or career,
Or a change in relationship, far or near,
It might be a change in health or wealth,
Or a change in our social status or self.
Change is as inevitable as the sunrise,
It's a truth we cannot compromise,
For without change, we won't progress,
And without progress, we won't address.
The issues that ail us, both big and small,
The problems that keep us from standing tall,
We need change to shake us from our slumbers,
To push us beyond our comfort numbers.
Change helps us grow, it's a catalyst,
It encourages us to take a risk,
To break the chains that hold us back,
And face life with a renewed attack.
It might be uncomfortable at first,
For change tests our resilience, the worst,
But with time, we begin to adapt,
And the change that once scared us, we now unwrap.
We begin to see the good in change,
How it transforms us, how it makes us range,
We realize that the fear of the unknown,
Is just a figment of our mind, overblown.
Change becomes a new way of life,
Something we embrace without strife,
For it's the only way we can thrive,
In a world that's always on a drive.
Embrace change when it comes your way,
And don't be afraid to seize the day,
For change is uncomfortable but necessary,
And it's the only way to live life's journey.
