Who the hell does he think he is; saying I’m his; stupid Sasuke. I huffed, walking angrily onto the field for cheerleading practice. I took a deep breath to calm myself and faced the cheerleaders who were smiling.

“Ohayo, Sayuri-chan!!” they greeted with wide smiles. I sighed; they soo want something.

“What do you want?” I ask, dropping my bag on the small chair awaiting me.

“What’re you talking about? We don’t want anything” says Sakura totally giving it away that she was obviously lying.

“Sure sakura, whatever you say” I say rolling my eyes, but I couldn’t help but smile. Who knew I would actually like being a cheerleader.

“Uh, Sayuri?” asked Ino looking nervous. I look at her and raise an eyebrow. “So, uh, did you decide whether or not you're going to do lip-sync??” she asks; the others nod.

So that’s what they wanted. “Yea, I have actually” I say, putting my bag on the ground so I could sit on the chair.

“So, what’re you going to do??” asked Sakura.

I grinned; “you really want to know?” I ask.

“Yea, that’s why we asked, isn’t it” she said; the other leaned forward, awaiting my answer.

I smiled and looked around; everyone was looking at me, everyone; even the soccer players and Kakashi, who usually doesn’t show any interest in anything.

“I’ve decided not to” I say, standing up. I pick up my bag and walk off the field.

“Sayuri!!” I ignore it and walk all the way back to the main building. I stop in front of the library and stare at it for a long minute.

“Sayu-chan!!” I turn around to find none other than Naruto.

I smile; “hey Nori”

“What’re you doing here, aren’t you supposed to be at cheerleading practice?” he asks, looking curious.

“Uh, yeah; I kinda didn’t feel like going” I say looking away. “By the way, why are you here? You’re usually not here at this time”

“No reason” he says looking embarrassed.

I raise an eyebrow; “no reason?! I highly doubt that”

He looks away, and I giggle; Ewww, I just giggled!

“Anyway, if you want, we can hang out until the bell rings” I say smiling.

In a minute; no less than a minute, he was hyped up and suddenly dragging me somewhere. Where? I have no idea.

I didn’t even know this was in school. Well, of course I didn’t, it’s at the very back of the school where no one ever goes for reasons unknown; but now I think I know. This place is creepy!!

There’s this big dark forest and hanging from one of the many trees is an old swing. Naruto simply walks over to the swing and sits down like he’s done this a million times before. Come to think of it; he probably has.

“What is this place?” I ask, looking around.

“My hideout” he says grinning. “You won’t tell anyone, will you?”

I stare at him for a minute; how come I never noticed…

“Will you keep it our little secret?” he asks, getting off the swing to walk towards me.

I grin; “of course!!”

He smiles back and walks closer to me. He reaches for my hand at my side. He intertwines our pinkies; “promise?”

“I promise” I say laughing.

“You’re not supposed to laugh!!” he exclaims playfully glaring at me.

“Gomen” I say, trying to hold back the obvious laughter. I clear my throat; “I promise” I smile, trying to hold the laughter, but unfortunately, I was not so lucky. I ended up laughing so hard, I could’ve bet a million yen that America could hear me.

After I had finally stopped laughing, I noticed that I was leaning on Naruto. I tried to let go but he grabbed my arm before I could. So I looked up to ask him why, but again, I couldn’t help but wonder why I hadn’t noticed before. He looked strange…

“Ne, Sayuri” he’s talking really low; I wonder why.

“Nani?” I whisper back; wait, why am I whispering too?!

Before he could say anything though, the stupid loud bell rang. And for some reason, I don’t want to leave; even though this place is really creepy.

“Uh, we have to go to class now” I say, breaking the silence. “I’ll, uh, see you later”

I smile and walk back into the building. What the hell was that?
