(2 hours after Nelson's death)
Rain falls on Mike's face as Mike and Jayden are standing in front of Nelson's house.
Mike: I don't want to be here right now.
Jayden: We don't really have a choice Mike.
Mike: Let's just get this over with.
They walk up to the door and knocked.
(Where the other Rejects are)
Olivia: Why are we here?
Toby: Because this is where Nelson's parents live.
Olivia: Whose Nelson?
Jess: The guy who died.
Olivia: ... Oh.
As they were talking, Frank was leaning against the Van when Aiden walked up to him. They just looked at each other for a few moments until Frank spoke.
Frank: Why don't you speak?
Aiden: I can, I mean with this voicebox I can.
Aiden reveals the voicebox to Frank.
Frank: What happens when you speak without the box?
Aiden: Then I would be constantly using my sonic screams.
Frank: Oh.
Aiden: It's Frank, right?
Frank: Yeah, and you're?
Aiden: Aiden.
Frank: It's nice to meet ya.
Frank held out his hand and Aiden shook it.
(back to Jayden and Mike)
The door opened and Nelson's mother opened the door.
Nelson's mom: Yes?
Jayden: Hi, my name is Jaydeb and this here is my friend Mike.
Mike did a two finger wave.
Jayden: We're friends of your son Nelson.
Nelson's mom: Is he alright? Did you find him?
Jayden: ... I'm afraid that... He's... I'm sorry ma'am.
Jayden eyes began to tear up and then the look of realization hit Nelson's mother's face.
Nelson's mom: No.
Mike: He was a hero ma'am. He was apart of the Rejects.
Nelson's mom: He was a Freak?
Mike: He wasn't a freak ma'am. He was your son. And he was a hero.
Nelson's mom: ... I need... Time to process this.
Mike: It's alright, we were just leaving.
Jayden: Thank you for listening.
Nelson's mom: Thank you for telling me what happend to my son. By the way, how did you know about my son being a... Mutant.
Mike: We like to call oursleves Gifted. Heh, he made that name for us.
Nelson's mom: So wait, you're also a Gifted?
Mike: I'm sorry for loss ma'am, I hope you forgive me.
Nelson's mom: Wait what do you mean?
Mike and Jayden heas back to the van.
Nelson's mom: WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY FORGIVE YOU?
