For someone living in the same body, they couldn't be more different.
Asumi adored the rain and could be found lying on her rooftop to bask in it, each drop was much like a kaleidoscope. Had she been there in the moment, even with such bleak circumstances such as gloomy rain on a shattered society and broken city, she could have found the beauty in the watery gift. She'd extend an arm and catch the dancing light in the rain beads on her outstretched fingers.
But Asumi was not here right now, and Yume lacked her child-like spirit at the moment that usually came in abundance. Unlike her host, Yume lacked her practice in handling such darkness. She was used to blissful ignorance with a guiding hand, misleading or not.
In this case, it was Midoriya who offered her a guiding hand as he helped the girl keep up with him through the rainy city, the droplets feeling much like her tears when she could not cry. The tears fell and fell, rolling down her cheeks, her head, her dirty hero costume–no... That wasn't right. This was Asumi's costume.
Midoriya, on the other hand, was letting her follow but did not let her know anything. It was too risky for her to know anything with her still at the whim of the villains who could make her spill information with a simple order. He especially couldn't let her know a team of pro heroes had been tracking him since the start.
"Let's stop real quick." He told her as they stopped on top of the ledge of a rooftop, letting her go.
Yume adjusted the hood of the costume over her head, continuing to shield her face despite its soaked material making it hang oddly.
Midoriya had raised his phone, casting a glance at the girl lingering slightly behind him to see her wandering eyes on the ripped sleeve of her glove. She wasn't as ditsy and lost in la-la land as Asumi but was notably unaware.
This time, it was to his advantage as he went to message All Might only–
A shot fired straight through his phone as danger sense went off.
The two froze, eyes falling on his phone stuck into the side of a building completely shattered with a pink and indigo bullet embedded into it.
Then came a woman's voice, "Little girl dressed in red. Don't move, I've got orders not to touch you, but...little boy dressed in green. You're coming with me."
Though this was a villain clearly targeting him, he also recognized the opportunity to get the answer he sought–and maybe he wouldn't have to continue to try to get answers out of the traumatized girl accompanying him.
"Don't move a muscle, and I'll let you keep your limbs."
This was it. The sniper was a hired gun to take him in alive for All For One. This woman in particular had many warnings given to Midoriya by Hawks himself as someone you should run from, and her indigo and pink hair for bullets was a dead giveaway.
