The morning started with the usual chaos—little feet thundering through the house, shrieks of excitement, and Bakugo already on his last nerve, and they just walked through the door.

"Oi! Stop climbing on the couch like it's a damn jungle gym!" he barked, yanking Yume off the cushions.

Asumi snickered, giving Bakugo a pat on the arm. "Relax, Katsuki. They're just excited."

Bakugo grumbled under his breath but didn't argue as Yume zipped past, her tiny fists pumping in victory, while Kaji clung to Asumi's side, eyeing the door warily since the moment they had come in and she set him down.

By the time they arrived at Todoroki and Sero's apartment, Yume was bouncing on her heels, eyes gleaming with mischief, while Kaji held onto Asumi's hand, his small fingers curling tightly around hers.

"You sure about this?" Bakugo asked, squinting at Todoroki and Sero.

Todoroki blinked at him, face unreadable as always. "We've fought villains, survived multiple near-death experiences, endured Aizawa's training, and dealt with you. We can handle two kids."

Sero, standing beside him, let out a nervous chuckled and interrupted before Bakugo could snap at him for the comment. "Yeah, totally! How hard can it be?"

Yume immediately took that as a challenge. She barreled past them as she continued to explore the apartment, spinning in a circle. "Whoa! This place is huge!"

Kaji, on the other hand, clung to Asumi's pant leg with his other hand still held onto her own and pouted up at her. "Don't wanna stay."

Asumi knelt, brushing his hair back gently. "You'll be okay, Kaji. Uncle Shoto and Uncle Sero will take care of you."

Kaji huffed but let go, shuffling toward Todoroki, who simply picked him up without effort and balanced him on his hip.Kaji blinked, surprised but too stubborn to react otherwise.

"Alright," Asumi said, kissing both their foreheads. "Be good, okay? And listen to what they say." She gave them each a firm look, Bakugo lightly glaring at them behind her in a warning to listen.

They both knew how much of a handful they could be, but they needed time away from the kids to go on a date for themtime. And what better day than Valentine's Day?

Yume threw up a salute. "Yes, mommy!"

Kaji just pouted harder.

The moment the door shut behind them, Todoroki and Sero exchanged looks of silent understanding. They knew these two fairly well, but this was the first time they were responsible for them for hours.

All because Todoroki brought up at lunch to Asumi that Sero mentioned kids.

She was both throwing them into the deep end for a test run while getting a day with her husband out of it.

Win, win.

The first ten minutes were... deceptively calm.

Then chaos erupted.

Todoroki and Sero barely had a moment to breathe before they heard the unmistakable sound of something crashing to the floor.

Sero turned his head just in time to see Yume standing frozen, wide-eyed, at the vase that had rolled to the floor, thankfully not glass. She had just been running by when she accidentally knocked on the corner table.

Kaji, seated nearby, simply blinked at the mess, then resumed whatever he had been doing as if nothing happened.

Sero sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Alright, I got this," he assured Todoroki, stepping forward with an idea. "Who wants to do some Valentine's crafts?"
