Upper Leadworth, Day...

The Doctor and Lexi were practically stumbling down the road as a group of elderly residents followed them. The Doctor held onto Lexi's waist as they ran. The sleep seemed to be hitting her harder. They could hear the birdsong. They made it into the butcher shop to see the Dream Lord behind the counter dressed as a butcher complete with apron and boater. The birdsong disappeared for the time being.

"Oh, I love a good butcher's don't you? We've got to use these places or they'll shut down. But you're probably a vegetarian, you big flop-haired wuss."

The Doctor took a key from a shelf and tried to unlock another door as Lexi walked around the corner of the counter to stand in front of the Dream Lord.

"Will you just pipe down. We're busy!" Lexi took off her long necklace and threw it at the Dream Lord causing him to flicker.

"Well then, maybe you need a little sleep."

The birdsong returned and The Doctor slipped to the floor and Lexi slid down to the floor in front of the counter.

"Oh, wait a moment." The Doctor Lord leaned over the counter. The Doctor stood up and helped Lexi to her feet. "If you two fall asleep here, several dozen angry pensioners will destroy you with their horrible eye thingies." The Doctor and Lexi made their way into the hall behind the counter as the birdsong started up again. They put their fingers in their ears. "Fingers in the ear? Brilliant!" The Doctor slid down the wall with Lexi slumping against him. "What's next, shouting boo?" The Dream Lord motioned for the elderly to enter the shop. "Come in! Come in!" The pensioners entered and made their way around the counter. "Yes, we've got lots at 'steak' here this week. Lots at steak. Get it?" The Doctor got up with a burst of energy and grabbed Lexi with one hand and the door with the other. "Are these jokes wasted on you?"

The Doctor made his way to the second freezer door while still gripping Lexi with his other arm. But, they slid to the floor as the pensioners came closer.

"Wait, stop..." The Doctor reached into his pocket.

"Oh, I can't watch." The Dream Lord said putting his hands over his eyes.

The Doctor stood with effort and used the sonic screwdriver to unlock the door. He grabbed Lexi under her arms and dragged her inside, locking the door behind them. They then fell completely asleep as the pensioners pounded at the door.

Inside the TARDIS,,.

The Doctor and Rory woke up on the TARDIS floor as Amy and Lexi sat up across from them. Lexi and Amy clutched their blankets.

"Ah, it's colder." Lexi said shivering.

"The four of us have to agree, now, which is the dream." The Doctor instructed as he buttoned his jacket.

"It's this, here." Rory said pointedly.

"He could be right. The science is all wrong here, burning ice?" Amy asked questioningly.

"No, no, no ice can burn, sofas can read, it's a big universe. We have to agree which battle to lose. All of us, now." The Doctor demanded.

"Ok, which world do you think is real?" Lexi asked.

"This one."

"No, the other one!" Rory objected.

"Yeah, but are we disagreeing or competing?"

"Competing? Over what?" Amy and Lexi asked in unison.

The Doctor and Rory stared at them. Amy groaned and stood up. Lexi rolled her eyes.
