A Good Man Goes to War [Part 4]

Inside, Demon's Run, Communication...

"All airlocks sealed, resistance neutralized!" Strax informed as he escorted Manton by gunpoint.

The Doctor and Lexi were sitting at the main control panel. Vastra, Jenny and Dorium were also present.

"Sorry, Colonel Manton, I lied." The Doctor told him. "3 minutes, 42 seconds."

"Colonel Manton," Strax began. "you will give the order for your men to withdraw."

"No. Colonel Manton... We want you to tell your men to run away." Lexi corrected.

"You what?"

"Those words." The Doctor agreed. "Run away. we want you to be famous for those exact words. We want people to call you Colonel Run-Away. We want children laughing outside your door, 'cause they've found the house of Colonel Run-Away." The Doctor stood and pointed his finger as he approached him. "And, when people come to you, and ask if trying to get to me through the people I love... is in any way a good idea... I want you to tell them your name. Oh, look! I'm angry. That's new. I'm really not sure what's going to happen now."

Madame Kovarian then arrived, escorted by two Silurians.

"The anger of a good man is not a problem." She told the Doctor. "Good men have too many rules."

He slowly turned his head to look at her. "Good men don't need rules." He responded, walking over to Kovarian. "Today is not the day to find out why I have so many."

Madame Kovarian turned her head to look at Lexi who had been awfully quiet during that little exchange.

"I don't know why you're looking at me." Lexi stated calmly, standing up and walking over to stand toe-to-toe with Madame Kovarian. "I've only got one thing to say to you."

"Then say it." She sneered.

"I came into this world kicking and screaming while covered in someone else's blood." Lexi whispered to her. "And I have no problem with going out the exact same way."

With that she exited the room, not even looking back.

"Oh, I like her." Vastra commented as everyone watched Lexi walk down the corridor before turning a corner.

Madame Kovarian stayed quiet for a moment before turning her head to look at the Doctor.

"Give the order."

A little surprised, the Doctor smiled crookedly and held up a finger before walking away.

Madame Kovarian turned her head to look at Colonel Manton. "Give the order Colonel Run-Away."

Inside, Demon's Run, Nursery...

There was a knocking on the door, making Amy run about as she tried to find something to use as a weapon.

"Who's that, who's there?" She asked, finding something that looked like an industrial thermometer. "You watch it." She warned. "'Cause I'm armed and really dangerous and...cross!"

"Yeah. Like I don't know that." Rory's voice came through the door.

"Rory?" Amy whispered. "Rory, is that you?"

"Yeah, it's me..." He replied from the other side of the door as he could be heard using the sonic. "Hang on a minute."

"They took her." Amy stated. "Rory, they took our baby away."

The door then slid open, letting Rory walk in as he held baby Melody.

"Now, Mrs. Williams... That is never, ever going to happen." He said as he walked over to Amy, Melody in his arms.
