𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝑻𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒔 ☆ The Glorious Series ｟ BOOK 1 ｠

And we've been running ever since... (An interlude with Lexi and Amy)

A/N: Just read... That's all I'm gonna say. ;)

*Lexi taps her phone screen*

"Hello? Is this thing on?" Lexi asked, her and Amy looking directly at you from behind your screen.

"Ah! There we are. Hi!" Amy waves at you cheerily, a big smile on her face.

"Listen, we were asked by Maddy, our dear author, to give you, our dear reader, a little interlude on a few things that are going to happen in the coming episodes." Lexi tells you as she and Amy take seats at the bottom of the stairs that lead up to the console of the TARDIS.

"Yeah." Amy agrees. "First off: Sky and Jupiter. Who are they?"

"That is a good question, Amy." Lexi nodded at her before turning back to look at you. "Who are the two mysterious people that popped up towards the end of 'The Big Bang'?"

"I mean, we know they're River's cousins." Amy began, a smirk spreading across her face. "But we all know that isn't the whole story."

"Of course though, since this is just a fanfiction of Doctor Who and since you've more than likely already seen all the episodes that are coming up, then you know who River really is." Lexi pointed out, Amy nodding in agreeing. "That then, therefore, reveals the identity of Sky and Jupiter. But, for the sake of just enjoying and immersing yourselves in the world of 'The Pond Twins', just go along with it."

"Because trust us, reader." Amy said, putting an arm around Lexi's shoulders and giving you a pointed look. "What lies ahead is surely going to amaze."

"Isn't that a line Morgan Freeman says in 'Now You See Me'?" Lexi questioned, tilting her head.

Amy rolls eyes, shooting an exasperated look towards you and nodding with her head at Lexi. "See what I have to deal with."

"Anyway..." Lexi drawls out, shoving Amy's arm off of her before standing up and walking up the stairs to the console. She spins around, looking directly at you. "Aside from Sky and Jupiter, there are a couple more things worth hinting about."

"Like..." Amy began excitedly, rushing up the stairs towards Lexi. "Demon's Run."

"Exactly!" Lexi nods, snaps her fingers and points at Amy. "That episode is so heavy with emotion and pretty much angst all around. But, it is SO good."

"We will officially find out who River is. But not only that." Amy informs you, walking around the console as she talked. "We also find out EXACTLY who Sky and Jupiter are."

Lexi nods in agreement. "Then we've all got our adventure 'killing' Hitler. The Doctor and I go and see Craig and Sophie again. What else?..."

"Oh!" Amy exclaims, a finger raised. "We can't forget about the wedding."

"Ah, yes! Can't possibly forget about that." Lexi giggles, looking over at you. "But, we'll get there later. You know, as River would say...'Spoilers'."

"I don't think there's much else to say right now." Amy notes, a thoughtful look on her face. "What do you think, sis?"

Lexi walks over and pats her on the shoulder. "At least that's all we want to say right now. Can't give too much away."

"Right." Amy nods, glancing at Lexi. "Should we do the thing?"

Lexi grins and nods. "Let's do the thing."

Amy turns back to look at you. "Okay before you go ahead and move on to 'The Impossible Astronaut', there's a little something my sister and I would like to say. Take it away, Lexi!"

Lexi grins walking around the console, sliding down the railing away from it. "When we were little girls, we had an imaginary friend."

"And when we grew up..." Amy continues, pushing the console's monitor and making it swing itself around. "he came back."

"He's called the Doctor." Lexi says, running back up the stairs and past Amy.

Amy rolls her eyes playfully, giving you another exasperated look. "He comes from somewhere else."

Lexi grins at you, a gleam in her eye. "He's got a box called the TARDIS that's bigger on the inside and can travel anywhere in time and space."

Amy walks over to stand beside Lexi. "We ran away with him."

Both twins look at you as they stand at the bottom of the stairs that lead up to a corridor, mischievous smiles on their faces.

"And we've been running ever since."
