The Almost People [Part 2]

Inside, Monastery, Tunnel, Night...

In another section of tunnel, Amy, Lexi and the Doctor were with the Originals.

"The army will send a recon team." Buzzer informed.

"We need to contact the mainland." Cleaves told him.

"What about Rory and Jen?" Amy questioned. "They are both out there."

"Takes a long time to find someone in a maze." The Doctor commented. "I bet you lot have got a computer map."

"If we can get power running, we can scan for them." Cleaves said.

"Doctor, you said earlier to breathe." Amy said as she started coughing along with everyone else.

"Very important, Pond. Breathe." He replied.

"Yeah, I'm struggling to." She coughed.

"S-same h-here." Lexi coughed, gripping onto her Ganger's shoulder.

"Acid interacting with the stone." The Doctor informed.

"Creating an asphyxiant miasma." The Ganger Doctor agreed.

"A what?" Cleaves asked.

"Chokey gas. Extra heavy." The Ganger Doctor replied. "If we can get above it..."

"The evac tower. This way!" Cleaves exclaimed before leading the way.

Inside, Evac tower, Power room...

The Doctor, Lexi and Amy were the first to enter the room coughing. The others followed and headed straight for the control panels.

"Ohh!" Amy coughed particularly hard. "I think I coughed so hard, I pulled a muscle or something."

"It's OK, it's easing off." The Doctor told her.

The Doctor checked the front while the Ganger Doctor ducked behind the panels as a bell chimed the hour.

"It's midnight. It's Adam's birthday." Jimmy commented with a small smile. "My son's five. Happy birthday, bud."

Both Lexis stood off to the side as they observed the two Doctors.

"You know what he did, right?" Ganger Lexi whispered to Lexi. "You know which one's the real one?"

"Of course I do." Lexi whispered back. "The questions are though: Do the Doctors know we know? Can Amy tell which one's which? AND Can they each tell which one of us is the real one?."

"Should be interesting." Ganger Lexi commented. "We've got our sister and our boyfriend. Can they both tell who's who?"

"Well, you do have to take into account the fact that we aren't wearing any jewelry, so they don't have that to differentiate us." Lexi whispered to her. "We didn't get our boots in any acid like the Doctor did. So now we are both wearing the same exact clothes. We have the same exact eyes and voice. There is literally no way for them to be able to tell us apart."

"Well, then..." Ganger Lexi began. "Let the game begin."

Soon after...

Cleaves was standing behind the console with one of the Doctors.

"Can you really get the power back?" Cleaves asked him.

"There's always some power floating around." He replied.

Doctor 1 ducked down behind the console as Doctor 2 stood up.

"Sticking to the wires, like bits of lint." Doctor 1 commented.
