Outside, Greystark Hall Orphanage, Night...
In a thunderstorm, a black sedan entered the grounds and pulled up in front of the large building that had seen better days.
Inside, Sedan...
"In just a few days mankind will set foot on the moon for the first time." A man's voice said over the car radio. "Today the President reaffirmed America's commitment..."
Canton shut off the radio and looked to Amy in the passenger seat before glancing back at Jupiter who sat in the backseat. They were both dressed like agents in black suits.
"Ready. Check?" Canton asked, wanting to make sure.
Amy and Jupiter both looked at the palms of their left hands.
"Clear." They nodded.
Canton looked at his palm. "Clear."
As Amy and Jupiter got out of the car, Canton rubbed his left palm with his right index finger.
Inside, TARDIS...
The Doctor injected something in Canton's hand.
"Ow!" Canton glared at him.
"So, three months, what have we found out?" The Doctor asked everyone.
"Well, they are everywhere." Rory replied before the Doctor injected his hand. "Ow!"
"Rory's right." Sky nodded. "Every state in America. Ow!"
Sky glared at the Doctor after he injected his hand.
"Not just in America," The Doctor said. "the entire world."
"There's a greater concentration here though." River stated.
The Doctor then injected Amy.
"Ow!"
"You okay?" He asked her.
"All better." Amy nodded.
"Better?" He questioned.
"Turns out I was wrong." She said. "I'm not pregnant."
They both glanced over and saw Jupiter watching them as she leaned against the console. She just nodded at them, subtly making a motion of zipping her lips and reassuring that she wasn't going to say anything.
Their thoughts were interrupted by Rory walking over.
"What's up?" He asked then.
"Nothing." Amy giggled. "Really, nothing, seriously."
"So!" Lexi clapped her hands together, standing up from the jump-seat she had sat herself in. "What we've all gathered is that we see them, but as soon as we look away, we can't remember them."
"Exactly." The Doctor nodded before injecting Lexi's hand.
"Ow!"
He smiled and kissed the palm of her hand. "Sorry."
"So you've seen them?" Canton asked.
"You have, too, Canton." River told him. "That night at the warehouse, remember? While you were pretending to hunt us down we saw hundreds of those things. We still don't know what they look like."
"It's like they edit themselves out of your memory as soon as you look away." Rory said.
"Yeah." Sky agreed as he rolled up his jacket sleeve, examining the tally marks on his arm. "The exact second you're not looking at them, you cannot remember anything."
