The Almost People [Part 3]

Inside, Evac tower, Power room, Night...

The Originals were preparing for the evacuation.

"We've got to get out of here." Buzzer reminded everyone.

"We're not leaving without them." Amy objected.

"I want 'em found too, but it's about casualties, innit?" Buzzer questioned her. "Can't be helped."

Amy turned to one of the Doctors and Ganger Lexi sitting beside her at the console.

"What are you doing?" Amy questioned Doctor 1.

"Making a phone call." He replied.

"Who to?"

"No-one yet. It's on delay."

"Right, not getting it." Amy shook her head. "Why exactly are you making a phone call?"

The other Doctor and Lexi watched this exchange.

"I know." The other Doctor whispered to Lexi.

Lexi smiled slightly as he took her hand in his. "Do you?"

"Of course." He whispered back. "You're not the only one in this relationship that's smart."

"Because, Amy, I am and always will be the optimist, the hoper of far-flung hopes and the dreamer of improbable dreams." Doctor 1 told Amy, spinning in his chair. "The wheels are in motion. Done."

Ganger Lexi giggled as she watched Doctor 1 spin Amy's chair and making her laugh before settling next to him and her but facing the other Doctor and Lexi.

"You know, really, there can be only one of each of you."

"There's technically two of us, Amy." Ganger Lexi reminded her.

"We may be identical twins, but the subtle difference in our appearance is our eye colors." Amy quipped. "You have green and I have blue. At least we have that to tell us apart."

"Hmm?" Doctor 1 enquired having ignored Amy and Ganger Lexi's exchange.

"Nothing." Amy shook her head. "Carry on. Be amazing."

Lexi tilted her head in confusion as she watched Amy then slowly walk toward a spot on the wall, stopping and looking at it. She gasped and turned back around, glancing back one more time before turning completely away.

"Amy, are you alright?" Lexi asked, concern clear in her tone.

"Amy? What happened?" Doctor 1 enquired.

"It's her again." Amy said as she back to sit by him and Ganger Lexi.

The other Doctor and Lexi looked at the same spot on the wall while the conversation went on behind him.

"It's who again?" Ganger Lexi asked.

"There's a woman I keep seeing, a woman with an eye-patch, and she has this habit of sliding walls open and staring at me." Amy replied, turning to look at Doctor 1. "Doctor?"

"It's nothing." He waved her off.

"Doesn't seem like nothing." Ganger Lexi chimed in.

"It's a time memory." He informed. "Like a mirage. It's nothing to worry about." He then spun back to work on the console.

"It's in my head..." The other Doctor whispered, closing his eyes in pain before heading out of the room.

"Hey, hold on!" Jimmy called after him.

"Don't let him go." Cleaves said.

"Leave it to me." Ganger Lexi said, standing up.

"You sure?" Lexi asked her.
