Outside, Forest, Night...
"It's just irresponsible!" Lily exclaimed as she, Joy and the Doctor continued on their way. "How can you do this to my brother?"
"It was meant to be a supervised trip." The Doctor informed.
"To the future?"
"The future, yes." He nodded.
"On a different planet?"
"Yes, very different."
"Where Christmas trees just happen. Where there are talking animals."
"Well, sort of Christmas trees, they're not REALLY Christmas trees. And again, the talking animals are just a bonus. No offense, Joy."
"None taken." The little fox said, licking a paw as she sat perched on the Doctor shoulders, her tail waving slightly and brushing against the Doctor's arm.
Inside, Tower, Top room...
Belle and Cyril arrived at the room on the top of the tower.
Standing in the center of the room was another wooden statue. This one was female, standing behind a throne, a circlet held in her hands, waiting to lay it on the head of whoever sat in the chair.
"Look at the view." Cyril whispered as he and Belle went to look out one of the windows, neither of them seeing the statue move.
Outside, Tower...
The Doctor, Joy and Lily arrived at the tower.
"Oh, look at that!" The Doctor exclaimed, heading for the door, Lily following.
"What, are we going in?" She questioned.
"Well, Cyril did. And I think Belle might be here, too." He replied. "What do you think, Joy?"
"It's worth a try." The little fox shrugged.
Inside, Tower...
The Doctor entered the room first, seeing the seated statue.
"Interesting..." He muttered, looking around the rest of the room as Joy scurried down his arm and down the rest of his body until her four little legs were planted firmly on the floor. She silently approached the statue, tilting her head as she examined it closely.
"What's that? What's that statue?" Lily questioned as she walked up behind Joy. "What is it? It's like a king."
"A king, possibly, but not a statue." The Doctor replied before whispering, pointing down at the floor. "Look at the floor. This is what Cyril and Belle were following... the growing thing. Hatched from a bauble on a tree. Grew to this size in less than an hour, I'd say. Impressive. And so is this building! Yes. It's grown, see. This building, it isn't a building, it's a group of trees grown in the SHAPE of a building, disguised as a building. Clever, I love. Clever, clever old forest. So, a forest grows a building. Why would it do that, Lily? Joy, this forest is your home. What do you think?"
"I've never seen anything like this here before." Joy answered. "This building was not here a few days ago, I'm sure of it."
"Okay." The Doctor clapped his hands together. "Rhetorical question: Why's there honey in a honey trap?"
"Because it's a trap?" Lily answered, unsure.
"Exactly." The Doctor nodded. "Thing about people, we can never resist a door."
