A/N: Hellooooooo! Here's another filler chapter for ya. I know I don't do these a lot. In fact, I believe I've only done this one other time. Anyway, I thought it was time that we had another one. This is going to help us with some major character development for The Doctor and Lexi. I think they need it seeing as the next episode is The Lodger ;). I can't wait to post that one. It's always a good laugh.

Lexi made her way through the TARDIS corridors to her bedroom. A few more turns and she came across a TARDIS blue mahogany door. Carved across it was her name. Alexis Giselle Pond. She wasn't really sure why the TARDIS had put her full name on the door. She had even tried to get the TARDIS to change it a couple of times, but she just wouldn't. Lexi had given up trying after a while. Anyway, she opened the door and walked inside to be met with a room that she absolutely loved. She had been absolutely giddy the first time The Doctor had shown it to her.

The room had dark hardwood floors and the walls were a pale blue. Probably the thing that made the room interesting though, was the way that it was laid out. When you first walk into the room, you are met with a sitting area that contained a white leather love seat and two chairs that matched. Directly behind the sitting area was the bed. You walked up three steps that ran the length of the room to get to it. It was nice and plush, with a comforter that matched the walls. The sheets were a shade of TARDIS blue. It made for a nice contrast in color. Off to the left of the bed was the ensuite. Lexi's favorite part of the room though, was the small loft that was directly above the bed. There was a small spiral staircase off to the right of the bed that led up to it. It contained a white mahogany desk with shelves on either side that went up to the ceiling. She usually liked to go up there and read whenever she didn't use the library. There was a white bing bag chair next to the desk that provided a comfy place to relax with a good book.

After Lexi admired her room a bit more, she went off into the ensuite and got ready for bed. It had been a long day, you know, meeting Vincent Van Gough and all.

She took a quick shower and dried her hair. She then walked back out into her bedroom to the other side of her bed to go through her dresser for some pajamas. She decided on a pair of red shorts and a grey tank top.

After she was dressed she snuggled in under her comforter and let her mind drift off into the vast expanse of dreamland...

It was kind of hazy. Lexi, Amy and The Doctor were all having a picnic in the desert next to a lake. But wait, there was four other people with them... Rory?... River? And who the hell were these other two people? There was a young man and woman of about 21 or so. The young man had short curly brown hair in the style that resembled Benedict Cumberbatch's hair in Sherlock, and the young woman had shoulder length wavy red hair that resembled Emma Stone.

Everyone was having a good time, laughing it up and drinking wine.

Suddenly The Doctor stood up and started walking away towards the lake. Everyone looked over to see an astronaut standing in the lake. No one was really sure what was being said between The Doctor and the astronaut. Suddenly, the astronaut's arm raised up and pointed at The Doctor.

Next thing Lexi knew, The Doctor was being shot repeatedly. She tried to run to him but was held back by the young man and woman while Amy was being held back by River and Rory. They let the twins go when The Doctor fell to the ground.

They ran to him, as fast as they could. Lexi and Amy kneeled down on either side of him. They were sobbing. Lexi leaned her head on The Doctor's chest, but did not hear the double heart beat she was hoping for.

Lexi and Amy looked up at everyone else...

"Lexi?! Lexi?!" The Doctor was shaking Lexi trying to wake her up.

"Ahhhhh!" Lexi sat straight up and wrapped her arms around herself. She was trembling.

"Hey, hey, it was just a nightmare."

Lexi turned her head and looked at him. "Come here, now."

The Doctor looked at her. "What-"

"I said now."

The Doctor took off his jacket and laid it on her dresser before climbing onto the bed to sit next to her.

Lexi lunged her arms around his midsection tight. And cried. The Doctor rubbed circles on her back.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No, please don't make me."

"Okay... okay." The Doctor kissed the top of Lexi's head as she softly sobbed into his chest.

A few hours later...

The Doctor was still holding Lexi even after she had cried herself to sleep. He felt her stir. He looked down at her when her eyes fluttered open.

"Do you-"

"Shh..." Lexi pressed a finger to his lips. "I need to ask you something and I need you to answer truthfully."

"I will be utterly transparent."

"Have you ever had a dream or a... nightmare that felt so vividly real, that maybe you thought it wasn't even a dream at all. Maybe you thought it could be something from the future?"

The Doctor stroked the side of her head as he spoke. "Well... I can't say I've ever experienced it personally..., but I don't see why it couldn't be possible."

"Okay. Now, the next I'm about to do is really scary for me."

"What is-" Before The Doctor could finish his question, he felt Lexi turn over to face him. She grabbed both sides of his face and brought him in for a proper snog.

After a few more seconds, they broke apart, breathing heavily. They leaned their foreheads together.

"What was that for?" The Doctor asked breathlessly.

"I just wanted to be sure you were still here."

"Of course I'm here. Why wouldn't I be?"

"No reason." She lied. She then started kissing him again, which by the way, he wasn't stopping.

The Doctor pulled away. "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Would you be, and believe me when I say this isn't just coming out of nowhere, would you be completely opposed to me asking you out?"

Lexi raised her eyebrows at him. "Do you remember what I said to you after The Dream Lord incident?"

"Yes, and that's exactly why I said this isn't coming out of nowhere."

"Okay, then tell me."

"Lexi, please. I need you to absolutely trust me on this. I want to tell you, but it's not the right time. I can't tell you until it's the right time. Please, you just have to trust me on this."

Lexi took a deep breath before speaking. "Well, I've trusted you before and you've trusted me before, so... Is it absolutely crucial?"

"Very."

"Well then, I accept." Lexi brought him in for another kiss. This one was soft and passionate. After they broke apart, they just laid there together in silence.

The Doctor hugged her tight. As she wrapped her arms around him. Something about this, made it feel like the calm before the storm...

A/N: Haha! What do you guys think of the sudden... developments? And who do you think that mysterious young man and woman were? Hmmm... Next episode shall be The Lodger. ;)
