A/N: Hey there! :)
Okay, I got the idea for this little filler chapter so suddenly when I was writing "Asylum of the Daleks", and I figured it was a good idea to put in right here.
Anyway, turns out there's one thing the Doctor doesn't know about Lexi, and it's something she feels she needs to finally confess to him... 😉
Enjoy! 😘

Inside. TARDIS, Library...
"I don't understand it." Lexi whispered to herself as she sat on the floor of the library in front of a roaring fire that was burning in the fireplace. She took a sip of her decaffeinated tea. 'Cause apparently drinking more than a 12 oz. cup of regular caffeinated tea (or coffee) each day is a no-no while pregnant.
Lexi sighed, slamming yet another book shut after not finding anything remotely related to echoes of a person that has been lost. She tossed that book aside onto an ever-growing pile of books she had already searched through.
You see, it had been a few days since the Dalek Asylum incident. And ever since then Lexi had been spending just about every free moment she had searching through the TARDIS's seemingly infinite library collection, looking for anything she could find regarding if it were possible to meet someone who died more than once. Like, an echo of sorts. Or in Mr. Harper's case, echoes.
There didn't seem to be much of anything at all. The closest thing she could find that talked about anything sorta like that was a book she had found that talked about the regeneration of Time Lords. But with that they changed appearance.
Mr. Harper hadn't.
Granted, Lexi never saw his face when they were in the Dalek Asylum. But, she had seen him when they had the adventure on the seventeenth century pirate ship. And she had seen him at Demons Run. It was definitely him. Same face and everything. And now that Lexi looked back on it, she may not have seen Mr. Harper's face in the Dalek Asylum, but she had heard his voice.
It did sound eerily familiar.
She might've not thought much of it if he hadn't said a certain eight words.
"Run... Run, you glorious girl, and remember me..." Lexi whispered before taking another sip of her tea.
The three times she had heard that sentence was when this Impossible Man was saving her life.
"Impossible Man... I like that. I think I'm gonna ca--" Lexi said herself but was cut off by the sound of the library doors opening a little distance away.
"Lex?" The Doctor called out as he searched the space for her.
"It seems your father has found us." Lexi whispered, looking down at her stomach before looking back up. "By the fireplace, Doctor!"
You see, Lexi hadn't exactly told the Doctor what she had been up to these past few days. He had been tinkering around in the console room most of the time, so that'd be when she'd escape to the library to do her... research.
"What do we have here?" The Doctor questioned when he walked up to where Lexi was, seeing her surrounded by numerous books that were scattered on the floor all around her.
"I, uh... well, I've been... researching some... stuff." She replied, really not sure how to put what she was looking for into words.
"Well, that makes sense." The Doctor rolled his eyes playfully as he sat down on the floor next to before picking up a random book and flipping through it.
