Cold Blood [Part 2]

A bit later...

Silurian city, Court...

Restac and Malokeh entered the courtroom followed by the soldiers escorting The Doctor, Lexi and Nasreen.

"You're not authorized to do this!" Malokeh protested.

"I'm authorized to protect the safety of our species while they sleep."

"Oh, lovely place, very gleaming." The Doctor commented.

"This is our court and our place of execution."

All of a sudden, Amy entered through another door, aiming a gun at Restac.

"Let them go!"

"Amy Pond, there's a girl to rely on." The Doctor said a tiny bit relieved.

A man entered through the main door aiming another gun.

"You're covered both ways, so don't try anything clever, buster."

"Mo!" Nasreen exclaimed to the man.

"Now let them go, or I shoot." Amy warned. Restac moved closer. "I'm warning you!"

Restac grabbed the gun from Amy and pushed her to the ground.

"Don't you touch her!" Lexi shouted in defense of her sister.

"And you."

The soldiers approached Mo, he reluctantly gave up his gun.

"Alright, Restac. You've made your point." Malokeh said trying to reason.

Restac walked over to Malokeh. "This is now a military tribunal. Go back to your laboratory, Malokeh."

One of the soldiers jabbed Malokeh in the back wanting him to leave.

"This isn't the way." With that, Malokeh made his exit.

The Doctor, Lexi, Amy, Nasreen and Mo were all brought over to two nearby pillars. The Doctor and Nasreen were tied up to one, and Mo, Lexi and Amy to the other one.

"Ok, sorry, as rescues go, didn't live up to its potential." Amy said apologetically.

"I'm glad you're Ok." The Doctor told her.

"Me too! Lizard men, though!"

"Homo reptilia... They occupied the planet before humans. Now they want it back."

"After they've wiped out the human race." Nasreen commented.

"Right, preferred it when I didn't know to be honest."

Lexi laughed softly at that and laid her head on Amy's shoulder. Amy leaned her against Lexi's head.

The soldiers lined up like a firing squad.

"Why are they waiting? What do you think they're going to do with us?" Nasreen asked more so to The Doctor than anyone else.

They looked on as Restac walked over to the long table that stood in the middle of the room. She pressed a few buttons and a giant projection appeared. It was the church basement. Everyone could see Rory, Tony and Ambrose.

"Who is the ape leader?" Restac asked. After no one answered for a moment, Restac spoke again. "Who speaks for the apes?"

Lexi picked her head up from Amy's shoulder. She saw Tony speaking to Rory, but couldn't quite her what was being said. Something seemed off. Something was wrong... After a moment, Rory stepped forward.

"I speak for the... humans. Some of us, anyway." Rory stated a bit wearily.

"Do you understand who we are?"
