Asylum of the Daleks [Part 4]

Inside, Asylum, Room...

"You're kidding." Lexi deadpanned. "You two split up?"

"Is it so much of a surprise?" Rory shot back.

"Yes!" Lexi rolled her eyes. "Rory, are you insane?! Of course it's a surprise. I mean, after all you two have been through, it--"

"Lexi..." Rory trailed off, stopping and putting his arm out in front of Lexi to stop her.

"What?" She looked down at his arm a bit confused before looking up, eyes going wide when she saw that they were now in a room filled with Daleks.

However, these Daleks were not moving and the casings were covered in dust.

Rory put his arm back to his side before slowly approaching one and cautiously reaching out to touch it, jerking back quickly.

The Dalek did not react.

Lexi put her sonic back inside her boot before walking up beside Rory. She cautiously reached forward and pushed the Dalek away, making it roll backwards.

The duo looked at each other before just shrugging. Rory then reached into his pocket and pulled out a torch.

"Okay, anyway, look." Lexi began. "I'm really trying not to pry here, Rory. It's just... What in the universe could make the two of you not want to be together anymore?"

"You wouldn't really understand." Was all he replied with before continuing on as they continued to explore.

"Then help me understand!" Lexi exclaimed as she rushed after him.

Inside, Asylum...

Rory and Lexi entered another room. This one filled with derelict Daleks. They approached one covered in webs and with a cracked dome.

Rory cautiously reach forward and moved the eyestalk out of the way and peered at it.

Rory stepped back, eyes wide when the eyestalk swiveled back on its own.

Lexi quickly got her sonic out of her boot again and pointed it at the Dalek as Rory slowly backed away and hit a metal bar that rolled on the floor. The sound echoed.

"I think it's waking up." Lexi stated uneasily, backing away as the eyestalk lit up.

"Sssh, sssh.." Rory tried shushing it.

"I don't think that's gonna help." Lexi snapped, puting her sonic back in her boot as the eyestalk spun around and located her and Rory.

All the other Daleks were now slowly coming back to life, the light in their eyestalks turning on.

"Ee-ee-ee-eex..." The Dalek pointing its eyestalk at Lexi and Rory as it began attempting to speak.

"What?" Lexi tilted her head. "What are you trying to say"

"Eggzz, eggzz, eggzz, eggzz, eggzz."

"Eggs? D'you mean those things?" Rory asked, looking at the bumps on the casing of the Dalek.

"Egggzzzzzzzz."

"I don't... I don't know what you want. Those things?" Rory asked again, picking one off the floor and holding it out. "This? Are those things eggs? You want this?"
