Asylum of the Daleks [Part 3]

Inside, Asylum, Empty and dusty room...

Rory was lying face-down on the floor as Lexi laid across him, face-up.

Lexi stirred awake only when she felt water drip on her from above. She reached up and wiped it from her face before she felt something under her move slightly. She sat up before looking down and seeing that it was actually Rory. She quickly scooted off of him to sit on the floor before poking his cheek.

"Rory?..." She asked before poking him again.

"Hmm... What?" Rory awoke, wiping off water that had dropped on his face. He then propped himself up on his forearms, glancing around before his gaze landed on Lexi. "Lexi? Are you okay?"

She giggled, shaking her head. "I think I should be asking you that. You're the one who basically broke my fall and landed face-down on the ground."

"Ah, I see you've both woken up." Hawthorne's voice came over the speakers.

Lexi glanced around. "Hawthorne?"

"The very same." He answered. "You both made quite the descent to get down in here."

"Total understatement." Lexi rolled her eyes as she and Rory got to their feet.

Inside, Living quarters...

Hawthorne chuckled. "Agreed."

"You both okay?" Oswin asked.

"As far as I can tell." Lexi replied.

Inside, Asylum, Empty and dusty room...

"Where are we?" Rory asked.

"Deep within the Asylum." Hawthorne replied. "So, do be careful."

"Oh, great." Rory rolled his eyes.

Inside, Living quarters...

"We're working on locating your friends." Oswin informed. "Just give us a bit of time."

Inside, Asylum, Empty and dusty room...

"Now, there's a door behind you that leads into a corridor. It's the only way out of the room you're in." Hawthorne told them. "It has a sensor, so it should open just by you both walking up to it."

Inside, Living quarters...

"Proceed with caution." Oswin warned as she took the keyboard from Hawthorne so he could work on the control panel. "Talk to you soon. Laters!"

Inside, Asylum, Empty and dusty room...

"Well then... What do you think, Rory?" Lexi smirked as the two of them walked up to the door Hawthorne told them about.

"That we're headed for certain doom." He replied, glancing at her as the door slid open. "But isn't that always the case?"

Lexi laughed, grabbing his hand before dragging him along through the doorway. "Come on, Roranicus!"

Outside, Planet surface...

Harvey was taking the Doctor and Amy back to the hatch he had been working on.
