TV...

A variety of reporters were talking on the appearance of the cubes.

"World leaders are appealing for calm."

"The global appearance of millions of small cubes."

"Despite official warnings, people have been taking the cubes from the streets, into offices and homes."

"What are they?"

"Where did they come from?"

"And why are they here?"

"Well, they're certainly not random space debris." One Mr. Brian Cox said as he held up a cube. "They're too perfectly formed for that. Are they extraterrestrial in origin? Well, you'll have to ask a better man than me."

Inside, TARDIS, Console room...

Amy, Rory and Brian were standing at the console as the Doctor examined a cube.

"All absolutely identical." The Doctor stated as he looked at the cube closely. "Not a single molecule's difference between them. No blemishes, imperfections, individualities."

"Look at this." Lexi said with clear amusement in her tone, making everyone turn to look at her as she sat in a jump seat with three cubes stacked on top of each other on her round stomach.

"I don't think that's such a good idea." The Doctor told her even though there was a slight smile on his face as he walked over to her. He quickly took hold of the cubes and removed them from atop her stomach, setting them down on the console before clapping his hands together as he spun around to face her again. "We don't even know what they truly are. They might not be dangerous. Or they might actually be dangerous. Who knows?"

"But what if they're bombs? Billions of tiny bombs." Brian spoke up, making everyone glance over at him. "Or transport capsules, maybe, with a mini-robot inside. Or deadly hard-drives. Or alien eggs. Or messages needing decoding. Or they're all parts of a bigger whole. Jigsaw puzzles that need fitting together."

"Very thorough, Brian. Very, very thorough. Well done." The Doctor nodded, picking up a cube from the console. "Stay here. Watch these. Yell if anything happens." He then plopped the cube into Brian's hand before walking away.

Rory pat his father on the arm before following the Doctor.

"Doctor, is this an alien invasion? Because that's what it feels like." Amy said as she and Rory helped the Doctor carry equipment.

"There couldn't be life-forms in every cube, could there?" Rory questioned.

"I don't know." The Doctor answered. "And I really don't like not knowing. Come on, Lex. Up, up, up."

Lexi rolled her eyes from where she sat over in the jump seat.

"Yes, well, if you didn't notice, dear..." Lexi huffed, hand on her stomach as she managed to stand up from the chair. "'Up, up, up' isn't so easy anymore." She told him as she walked over and down the stairs. "But never mind me. Come on, then."

Inside, Pond-Williams home, Parlor, July, Day...

The Doctor stepped out of the TARDIS as he carried equipment, Amy, Rory and Lexi following behind him as they all walked through to the kitchen.

"Right, I need to use your kitchen as a lab." The Doctor announced.
