The God Complex [Part 2]

Inside, Hotel, Reception...

The music continued to play as the Doctor, Amy, Rory and Rita were standing on the guest side of the counter. Lexi, Howie and the alien man were on the employee side with Joe.

"Why you four?" The Doctor enquired. "That's what I don't understand. Aside from all the other things I don't understand."

Lexi just rolled her eyes and leaned over a bit to switch off the music again.

"What does it matter?" The alien man asked. "Sooner or later, someone will come along and rescue us. Or enslave us."

"Well, that's optimism if I've ever heard it." Lexi mumbled, turning over the small service bell in her hands.

"Okay." The Doctor began, drawing everyone's attention. "First, we find the TARDIS. Quick thing before we go. If you feel drawn to a particular room, do not go in, and make sure someone else can see you at all times."

"Joe said 'he' will feast." Rita reminded. "Is there... something here with us?"

Joe all of a sudden started laughing again.

"Something to add, Joe?" The Doctor asked him.

"Here comes a candle to light you to bed, here comes a chopper to chop off your head." Joe seem to recite. "Chop, chop, chop, chop."

"Can we do something about him?" Howie asked, gesturing to Joe.

"I'm with Howie on this one." Lexi commented, pushing off the counter.

Joe just laughed.

Inside, Hotel, Hall...

The Doctor walked down the hall past the intersection where the alien man turned, pushing Joe, who had his mouth taped shut. Rita, Amy, Lexi, Rory and Howie, followed. The Doctor then turned when he realized they changed direction.

"Personally, I think you've got the right idea." The alien man commented to Joe. "Times like this, I think of my old school motto, 'Resistance Is Exhausting'."

"I've worked out where we are." Howie piped up as he walked between Rory and Lexi.

"Hmm?" Rory questioned.

"Norway." Howie stated.

"Norway?" Lexi asked, confused as to what he meant.

"You see, the US government has entire cities hidden in the Norwegian mountains." Howie told them. "Earth is on a collision course with this other planet, and this is where they're gonna send all the rich people when it kicks off."

"Amazing." Rory stated.

"It's all there on the internet." Howie informed.

"No," Rory countered. "it's amazing you've come up with a theory that's even more insane than what's actually happening."

"Still," Lexi giggled. "Can't be the most insane thing we've come across."

Just then, the door to room 158 opened and a PE teacher stepped out in front of the Doctor.

"Hello." The Doctor greeted.

"Have you forgotten your PE kit again?" The PE teacher questioned, making everyone else stop and watch. "Right, that's it, you're doing it in your pants!" He shouted before going back into the room and shutting the door behind him.

The Doctor then turned around to face everyone just in time to see Howie reaching towards a door.

"Hey! Don't!" The Doctor shouted, trying to push Howie away but couldn't since Howie had already opened the door.
