Pond Life

So happy to see that y'all liked the last chapter! 😁 I just re-read it myself, and I still love it. ❤️❤️

Anyway, I now gift you with my version of "Pond Life"! 🙂 'Cause let's face it, this story seems to be Pond centric a lot of the time. 😉 And now the Doctor is basically a Pond himself, so writing this is perfect! 😁 💕

APRIL
Inside, TARDIS, Console room...

"Hey, sis, Rory, just checking in!" Lexi said cheerfully into the console phone while leaving her sister and brother-in-law a message. "Not much to report, really. The Doctor surfed the fires of Floridor 9. He says it wasn't deliberate and that it was just the easiest way out, which in this case, I believe him. 'Cause who in their right mind would do something like that on purpose?"

Inside, Paris hotel room...

The Doctor was holding a slightly singed bread bun on a stick in front of a fire in a fireplace. A woman in period dress then walked into the room, making the Doctor turn around to look at her as she dropped her dress to the ground, stunning him just as Lexi entered the room herself, her jaw dropping open at the sight.

"The Doctor also met Mata Hari in a Paris hotel room... Yeah, I ended up giving that woman an earful for reasons which I will not repeat."

Inside, TARDIS, Console room...

"But, we've moved past that." The Doctor said quickly, grabbing the phone from Lexi after he had come down the stairs. "I also laid down some backing vocals."

"Yeah, if you can call them that." Lexi sniggered, rolling her eyes as the Doctor put the phone on speaker before he and her went about working the controls on the console, pushing buttons and pulling levers.

"We should be with you any day now, though." Lexi said.

"Exactly." The Doctor agreed. "It could literally be any day since the helmic regulator is playing up. Just can't seem to get the temporal steering right."

Inside, Amy and Rory's house...

Rory was just finishing up pouring himself and Amy a glass of red wine as the two of them listened to the Doctor and Lexi on the answerphone.

"Oh, dear. We appear to have collided with Ancient Greece..." The Doctor's voice informed nervously.

"What? Again?" Lexi's voice asked just before screaming as the TARDIS went haywire.

Rory shook his head as he and Amy leaned on the table, listening to the noise of a whooshing sound of something releasing steam/pressure as the Doctor and Lexi yelled during all the chaos.

With a chuckle, Rory pressed the delete button, making the phone beep.

"The Doctor and Lexi." Amy smiled, toasting to them with Rory as they clinked their glasses together.

Inside, Amy and Rory's house, Bedroom...

Asleep in bed, Amy and Rory were completely oblivious to the sound of the TARDIS materializing out in the hallway, only waking up when their bedroom door burst open. They quickly half sat up/propped themselves up in bed in surprise.
