The Rebel Flesh [Part 4 - FINAL]

Inside, Monastery, Flesh room...

The Doctor entered the room and made his way to the vat of Flesh.

Lexi soon ran in behind him. "What are you doing?"

"Interesting. I thought I told you to go back to the dining hall." Was all that he said as he took out the sonic and used it on the Flesh.

"Did you really think I wouldn't come after you?" She asked him incredulously as the liquid in the vat began to bubble.

"Fair point." He conceded, grabbing her by the hand and running from the room.

They didn't even notice that in the vat two mouths appeared at the surface a little distance away from each other.

"Why?..."

"Trust me..."

Outside, Island...

The Doctor and Lexi stopped, both looking down.

"Well, that's unfortunate." Lexi tilted her head.

"Oh. What are you doing down there?" The Doctor asked, seeing that TARDIS had nearly completely sunk into the acid-saturated ground.

"Really!" The Doctor began to reach into his pocket but stopped when he realized he was standing in a puddle of acid and the substance had been eating away at his boots.

"Get the boots off!" Lexi squeaked, taking a step back from the puddle so as not to get any acid on her boots.

Inside, Monastery, Tunnels...

Dicken and Buzzer continued their search for the acid suits.

Outside, Island, Night...

"Come on!" Lexi exclaimed as she and Doctor ran back into the courtyard, the Doctor leaving his boots in the acid puddle.

Inside, Monastery, Locker Room...

"Clear." Buzzer said as he and Dicken entered the room.

Dicken went and opened the closet holding the suits only to find it empty.

"Those damn gangers got to the acid suits." Buzzer said as he saw the empty closet.

"But there's acid leaking everywhere. Did you see the boss' eyes, back there in the hallway?"

"I've never seen a ganger look at me like that."

"I don't know what they are now, but... They ain't us." Dicken said, sneezing.

Inside, Monastery, Acid room...

The Doctor and Lexi entered, looking around. They saw that the acid suits were in there.

As they continued looking at the floor, they saw the legs of the Gangers.

The Doctor looked up. "Hello. How are we all getting on?"

"Why don't you tell us?" Ganger Cleaves greeted.

"Well, we have two choices." The Doctor informed.

"The first is to tear each other apart." Lexi stated, taking a step down the stairs.

"Yeah, not my favorite." The Doctor commented, pointing towards her. "The second though, is to knuckle down and work together."

"We can try to work out the best way we can help you." Lexi said gently.

Inside, Monastery, Tunnels...

The Doctor and Lexi were now walking with the Gangers who were all in their full-form.

"Now, I know it's hard for you to hold your fully human form, that's why you keep shifting between the flesh stages, but do try — it'll make the others less scared of you." The Doctor told them.
