Chapter 6 - Humiliated

~Lucy POV~

"Hurry up and come over to do my History homework." Said Lord Dragneel through the phone. I just wanted to reach out and wrap my hands around his tiny frail neck until his oxygen circulation cut off and-

*Tap* *Tap* *Tap*

I looked over to the window and saw that idiot throwing random objects towards mine, bouncing off the glass as they hit it. I squinted my eyes at him as he motioned me to hurry up placing his phone on the desk.

Asshole.

It's only been a week and I'm sick of being his stupid maid already. Yesterday I had to carry all of his textbooks to school plus my own ones and at lunch I had to do his stupid bitch of a girlfriends homework.

Basically it's been hell for me.

Groaning, I heave myself up from my bed interrupting my own studies to do his. Looks like I'll have yet another sleepless night ahead of me. Another stupid cram session.

Before I knew it I was at his door once again. I didn't even have time to knock as I was immediately greeted by a stupid pink headed idiot grinning from ear to ear.

"Ready to do some studying ?" He winked dragging me inside by my hand. I felt tingles go up my arm as he dragged me along. I immediately felt the loss of contact and couldn't help but hope he'd hold my hand ag-

NO. Lucy remember everything  done to you. This idiot is treating you like his own personal maid !

"Lucy I've been calling your name for the past minute. What the heck is up with you ?" He said. My cheeks suddenly began burning bright red as he got closer to me to examine my facial expression.

"T-too close Natsu !" I say attempting to take a step back. He grabs my arm stopping me from moving away as I feel my cheeks heat up even more if that was even possible.

"Wow, you must have a temperature. Do you want me to get you something while you do my homework ?" Oh how nice ! Despite thinking I have a temperature he still wants me to work for him.

"I'm fine ! Just get away from me. Your onion breathe is making me sick." I say pushing him away. He stumbled back and fell onto his bed groaning loudly.

"Bitch."

I decide to ignore his rude remark and begin working on the stupid history homework.

"How long will you be ?" Says Natsu after only five minutes had went by. Seriously, does he think I'm some sort of robot or something ?!

"If you don't shut up I will take longer." I massage my temples in attempt to aid the stress a little. Not that it was helping much since the cause of my stress was now looking right over my shoulder. I could feel his hot breathe on my neck sending a wave of electricity throughout my body.

"N-natsu, personal space please." I say pushing him away gently but fail to make him budge.

"Your writing is nice. I like it." He compliments as he observes the work I had done so far. Wow for once he said something nice to me. "It's a shame your face or attitude aren't that nice." Boom.

I grit my teeth together in attempt to hold back a remark as he clutches his stomach laughing his head off.

"Natsu you're so-"

"Lucy ! What a pleasure to see you." Said the white haired demon walking through the door interrupting the history homework I was in the process of doing.

"Oh hello ! The pleasure is all mine." I reply with a fake smile plastered over my face. I didn't bother looking up to face the monster. I had to finish this history homework soon if I wanted to have time to do my own anyway.

"Sorry to interrupt your bonding session Natsu. You said she didn't come over to do your homework ?" Wow, I'm about to witness an argument between the school's power couple.

"Lisanna, i needed help with my history worked and she offered so of course I couldn't refuse." Yeah sure, offered. I think he needs to get the meaning of the word offered checked out.

"Well while you're at it Lucy, here do mine too. Natsu come on let's go to the cinema." She began to drag Natsu's hand but what Natsu did next shocked me.

He pulled his hand away and handed Lisanna back her books. At this point I looked up at Natsu, slightly confused by his actions. Did he just say no to his girlfriend ?!

"She's not a robot Lisanna. She already has mine to do and hers and I'm not leaving her to study all by herself." He said keeping his gaze fixed on Lisanna. I watched as she scrunched up her face in anger before slapping Natsu across the face.

"Don't you dare embarrass me like that again !" She screamed making me jump out my skin. Wow. I saw Natsu look down in shame as Lisanna turned round and slammed the door behind her. 

I'd never thought I'd say this before but I felt sorry for Natsu. He must be feeling slightly humiliated.

"Natsu-"

"Leave." He spoke lowly.

"But I've not finished-"

"I said leave !" He slammed his fists on the desk as I jumped like a scared cat. "You've already done enough damage today."

What ?!

"No one told you to stand up for me !" I retaliate. I watch his expression soften before hardening again.

"Just get out." He said much more calmly this time. "Please..." I couldn't help but feel all my anger drift away as I heard his tone of voice.

I decided to do as I was told but took his history homework with me to finish it off.

As soon as I got to my room I looked outside the window, only to spot Natsu sitting on the window sill in deep thought. I've never really seen Natsu look so glum in a long time. Lisanna must have really humiliated him.

Was he upset because he thought I'd tell someone and ruin his reputation ?

Was he fed up with Lisanna ?

I shook off the thought and went back to finishing off the history homework. I guess I owe Natsu one.

After all he did stand up for me to Lisanna.

I guess the least I could do is finish his homework.

Oh Natsu, if only you knew how much I took your feelings into consideration.

Looks like your idiotic self managed to wheedle itself a little space in my heart.

*buzz*

I felt my jaw drop to the ground after reading the message.
