Chapter 19 - Almost (Non-Accidental) Kiss

~Lucy POV~

Once my mum and dad were home, Mrs Dragneel explained to them what had happened to me as she helped me back to my house.

My parents were to say the least, shocked and worried. Well, my mum was worried but my dad seemed more angry towards me.

"Thanks again for having me Mrs Dragneel !" I smiled as I entered my house.

"No problem at all darling ! I'm sure Natsu will thank me later..." She said mumbling the last part with an evil smirk plastered across her face. What just happened to Mrs Dragneel ?

As soon as I entered my house, all hell broke loose. My mum was bombarding me with fifty questions at the one time, while my dad was shouting at me because I apparently 'blew his business deal with the Strauss Family.'

"Really ? I just got beat the hell out of me and all your care about is your stupid business deal ?" I snapped at my dad, taking him off guard.

"Excuse me ! Don't you dare use that tone with me young lady !" My dad shouted as my mum tried to shut me up.

"I will use whatever the tone I want to ! You care more about business than your own daughter !" I shouted. "I'm sick of it !" I stormed out the door, still limping slightly which ruined the effect of my dramatic exit.

"Lucy Heartfilia ! Get back in here right this second !" I heard my father shout after me. Obviously, I just ignored him and continued walking.

"Oi Lu....cy.." Natsu said running towards me. His tone softened as he heard me crying softly. As soon as I saw him I quickly wiped my tears away. I didn't want him to see me like this.

"Go away, Natsu.."

"No. What's wrong ?" He said following me down the street.

"It's nothing." I replied trying to increase my speed. This wasn't a very good idea because before I knew it I lost balance.

I closed my eyes as I prepare to land on the cold hard surface, but for some reason I didn't.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw Natsu's face a few centimetres from mine.

"Gotcha." He smirked as he looked into my eyes. "Now tell my what's wrong or I'll let go and drop you to the ground."

"You wouldn't-"

"Don't test me."

"It's my father." I finally said as he helped me back up. We walked over to his back garden and sat on a large swing, big enough for two people.

"What happened ?" He asked in a concerning manner. I've never seen Natsu act this way towards me before. He was being genuine...it was as if his horns were getting crushed by a golden halo.

"It's a long story." I said not really wanting to bore him out of his mind with my problems.

"I have time." He smiled wrapping an arm around my shoulder. I freezed slightly at his touch. My cheeks were beginning to turn a dark shade of red...I'm so glad that we're outside in the dark..
