Just then, the doctor who was operating on JoJo came out.
Dad: how's my son?
Doctor: well Mr. & Mrs. Simmons JoJo obviously lost a lot of blood. It's a good thing he was brought in when he was. The surgery was successful. JoJo will be just fine. He just needs to stay rested.
Mom: OMG thank God! & thank you!
Doctor: my pleasure. You can go see your son now. Come with me.
We followed him in JoJo's room. He was already awake. As soon as he saw us, he smiled a little.
Me: JoJo!
J: wassup Digg?
Mom: my baby! *kisses his cheek*
J: hey mama
Dad: how you feelin JoJo?
J: I've been better. My back hurts but not to the point where I need them to raise to dosage.
Dad: that's good
Russy: do you know who shot you?
JoJo:...no...I don't
A few hours passed.
Mom: I want you to get some rest okay?
JoJo: okay
Mom: Russ, Dan, you can go back and get some sleep if you want. We know he's okay now and your father and I will be here with him.
Russy: you sure?
Mom: yeah it's fine. I know you're both tired so you can go.
Me: but aren't you tired too?
Mom: I can sleep right on this couch. It's fine. I wanna stay.
Me: okay...love you
Russy: love you mama
Mom: love you too
Me & Russy: love you dad, love you JoJo
JoJo & Dad: love you too
*outside*
Russy: so you and Alex, y'all good?
Me: yeah why?
Russy: she just seemed upset earlier cuz you kept snapping at the girl.
Me: yeah...well I apologized. I gotta learn how to control my temper sometimes.
Russy: no lie. So, you comin home?
Me: nah I'm goin back to Lexi. I'll be there later though.
Russy: ok...later
Me: later
*20 minutes later*
I pulled up to Lexi's house and saw Christian walking out. What the hell is he doing here at 10 a.m?
