Gregory Mathews was a troublemaker. He had been like that since birth. So, it was no surprise that he had ended up in jail. Thrice. And was going to be put there a fourth time.

Judge Louise was extremely gullible, and she had been the judge in both of Gregory's recent trials, and because he had promised he would stay out of trouble, and by saying this Louise had given him a harmless punishment, and of course, judging by the police files, he had lied. Judge Louise felt like a complete and utter fool. and, this time, he wasn't going to get away that easily.

"You are going to go to prison, tonight. And, there you shalt write me a note. If that note be the truth, thou shalt be sent to ten years in prison. If it be a lie, thou shalt be hanged." Louise was extremely pleased with herself.

The next day, Louise was enjoying a lovely cup of coffee, when a constable delivered his note. Louise sat up, interested, and opened the precariously.

She read the note, her face blanched, and she muttered to the constable, "Set him free."
