A pregnant woman and her husband arrive at the hospital, for they are expecting their baby to arrive.
The nurse rushed them to a hospital ward and rushed the doctor in.
"I have developed a machine, which can pass some of the birth pain from the mother to the father. If you would like to try it, just nod." the doctor explained.
They nodded in agreement.
"Okay, I shall switch it on now," as he switched it on, the wife went into labour. The doctor transferred 10% of the labour pain to the husband, but he said he didn't feel anything. The doctor then transferred 20%, then 30%, then 50%, but the husband still said that he couldn't feel a thing and that they must turn it up a bit. This eased the wife so much, that she said they must transfer ALL the pain to him. And they did. And the husband still said that he could take it, for he was strong and it didn't hurt.
The husband and wife then went home with their new baby girl, who was as healthy as ever. But, much to their surprise and dismay, the postman was dead on the doormat.
Why?
