"Hola mi gente!!!" I yelled as I walked into my grandmothers packed apartment.
"Jayyyyy!!!" My family practically yelled back at me.
"You made it back in time" my mother walked out the kitchen.
"David!!!" She yelled as she saw Dave behind me.
"Oh! And whose this?" My mom looked over to Bully.
"This is my older brother Zach" Dave introduce Bully.
"Hi, how you doing?" Bully smiled and shook my mother's hand.
Mama came out from the living room area to greet me and the fellas.
"Mi niña!" She yelled. (My girl/my baby)
"Besame la mano" she spoke to Dave and Bully.
They both looked at each other and sort of laughed.
"Kiss your hand?" Bully translated it for Dave.
"Bendiciones mis hijos" (blessing my children).
"Ohhhh, cion Mama" Bully knew what to do.
"I'm lost as hell" Dave laughed.
"She's asking for a kiss and a blessing, like when you say mashallah babe"
"Yeah dummy, I know you more bajan than Dominican. But come on" Bully laughed.
"Sorry Mama Gee, blessing on to you too" Dave hugged her tight.
"Come, everyone is in the back" she led us to the living room.
"Jayyyy!" Lisa smiled wide at me until she saw who was with me. She rolled her eyes and took a sip out of her wine glass.
"Hey family!" I smiled wide.
"Cion Papi, you made it on time this year" I kissed my father hello.
"Where were you that I got here before you ?" He chuckled.
"I went over to David's family dinner since they start earlier than us" I smiled.
"How you doing sir?" Dave stuck out his hand towards my dad who gave him a firm hand shake.
"Okay everyone !!" I got every one to quiet down a bit.
"This David, my boyfriend and his brother Zach" I introduced Dave and Bully.
"Besame la mano!!" everyone yelled back at them and laughed.
