Truth or Dare #8 ~Kai

It was a friend’s birthday party and some of the guests including you and your crush Kai sat on the floor in the middle of the dance floor playing Truth or Dare. You watched as the bottle span and span, turning into a blur of green and white until it finally stopped—pointing at Kai.

“Truth or Dare Kai!” One of his best friends Xiumin yelled. You chuckled; he got very excited about everything as soon as he had a bit of alcohol in his system.

“Dare.” Kai answered almost immediately and Xiumin chuckled along with the rest of the group.

“I dare you—“, Xiumin mused. “I dare you to do slow dance with _________.” You blushed but when you looked over at Kai you saw him blushing too which made it almost bearable. Kai stood up and walked over to you, extending his hand. Grasping it, you stood up and watched as Luhan walked over to the stereo to change the music to a slow tune. When the music started Kai let his hands rest on your waist and you lifted yours to the nape of his neck. You blushed and kept your head down, staring at his chest; which didn’t make this any more comfortable, so you tried to block everything out and focused on your feet so that you wouldn’t make a fool of yourself by tripping.

“_______“, you heard Kai whisper suddenly. You looked up out of reflex and almost immediately regretted it; he was so handsome it hurt. His dyed blond hair fell into his dark eyes and his lips looked so kissable you had to restrain yourself from just leaning up and kissing him. Instead you just tilted your head in question.

“I just wanted to say that—“, he took a deep breath. You were still swaying in the music’s rhythm and you could feel his soft hair tickling your fingers; you shivered at the feeling of his hands tightening around your waist and he pulled you even closer. When you averted your gaze and looked at the others you noticed that they had just carried on playing their game and forgotten about the two of you.

“Kai, they—“, you turned your head and suddenly his face was so close to yours, your noses were almost touching. Your breath hitched and you couldn’t help but stare at his lips, which were suddenly so much closer to yours. Just before his lips met yours, your eyes fluttered shut and you let out a breath. When his lips did meet yours, you responded to his kiss with a passion that you didn’t know you had. He pulled you even closer and you stopped moving to the music and just stood there kissing. He broke the kiss first and left both of you gasping for air.

“________, I’ve been waiting to say this for what feels like forever, but—I really like you.” He breathed against your lips. You closed your eyes for a second before answering:

“I really like you too, Kai.” Your voice was barely a whisper but he heard you and smiled his 10,000 megawatt smile. You couldn’t help but smile back and he dipped his head again to kiss you, again.
