MotM- Mohamed Salah

(Looked our most dangerous player, even though Pochettino had changed his line-up to quell the threat from him. Scored a lucky goal but deserved goal. Gave us a bit of hope to hang on to for a while with it)

That wasn't how I saw today playing out...

Gary Nevile absolutely promised there would be goals and I was like FFS you've just ruined it, we all know if  a pundit promises goals there will be no goals. For once a pundit predicting goals got it right.

I guess we were overdue a Lovren mistake so we got two at once and had to be pulled. The lad looked shell shocked when he was sat on the bench. My dad clapped so much at him being subbed off and trashed him like everyone else. I was so mad at that and asked how can you be so horrible about someone who plays for your club?! Yes, he's made mistakes, especially today but we've been able to forget this side of his game recently and now your all like he's the worst player ever!!! all over again. I don't know what to say. I want to say people make mistakes and leave it at that but it's highlighted what we've been saying about Liverpool forever. And what's worse is we've had plenty of chance to change things under Klopp and we haven't really. It's becoming less and less believable that there's no one we could get who's better than what we've got now. It could only be that reality is FSG doesn't wanna put their money is.

Gary Nevile commentating, so annoying! He was leading the way in slaughtering Lovren, Mignolet and the entire defence, going on about how we haven't spent cos it's all about the money we have or haven't thrown about. I was glad to move to an American stream with the guy who says Martip.

Two nill down and I fully expected to just be smashed right outta Wembley but no it's not just our keeper that can make a mistake. Salah's here to give us a glimmer of hope that we could get back into the game. It was a bit controversial coming from a challenge that probably should've been a free kick, but the ref didn't like fouls being a thing so it wasn't. Great pass from Henderson from it though. I was so nervous with having Salah take the shot since he's not been the best at scoring himself with those kinds of situations. If the keeper came out he probably would've gotten the ball but he went back and Salah got his shot.

It hit the post and went in. I loved it so much, it felt special cos it was like the goal that didn't go in, in my dream but this one did go in so it was beautiful.

I found swapping Lovren for Alex, an ex Arsenal player who's gonna be booed any time he's on the ball (which did make me laugh at times) an odd choice. That meant Gomez to CB, Milner to RB, Coutinho to CM, and Oxlade-Ch to wide left. That's a lot of changes for one sub! It did seem to work though because the mid to late first half we looked like we were back in buisness and were going to find our way into the game.

Then we concede on the stroke of half time and we've got three to score again and it's just not going to happen. They only got one more after half time, they must be rubbish!

All I could think was it's like we're playing against us but the full package, complete with a defence/ goalkeeper to be trusted and a striker who's on it as long as it isn't August. Dad described it as them having 12 players and it really did feel like they did have someone more than us, we were swamped and crowded out of any kind of action.

I guess Klopp really doesn't have any luck at Wembley unless it's preseason. It really is just our luck for Spurs to finally find themselves at home in this mockery of what it is to go to play at Wembley.

I'm really, really surprised my dad watched the entire match, every time we go three down he abandons it, says to turn it off, whatever, he didn't today. I still wish he'd stayed out sofa shopping and not made it back in time. 10 minutes before kick off he's showing me tickets that are supposedly available to buy for this match and I'm like how fast is your car?! It's just pointless and frustrating that he keeps doing that.

This is what I get for really enjoying Match of the Day last night and Everton's last two matches. I'm almost happy that Spurs got the points because they deserve to have a chance at going for the title again after how the last two seasons have gone for them and y'know they're not Mancs or Chelsea.

We're 9th in the League so I guess we're just gonna have to win the Champion's League. Haha.

Next up Huddersfield at home, Saturday 28th October, 15:00

Their match was a particular enjoyment last night, 3-0 against United. We get to play Klopp's best mate again. I really want them to stay up which they look like they're doing a good job of so far now I'm scared they're gonna be ones to embarrass us, maybe Wagner'll go easy on us.
