Did I just accidentally watch a rerun of Saturday? It certainly felt like it.
As soon as the commentators said 5-4-1 and I saw Maribor set up I groaned so hard. They were never going to let us repeat their home game. I'm so glad they didn't or couldn't do this the first time.
The commentators were counting down the time, getting disappointed when other games were getting goals and theirs wasn't. We had all the possession and all that but there was just 11 men in the way. I did think we were more confident in trying to get past the wall and as my dad keeps saying, run at em. Putting actually dangerous crosses in, not just anything and all that. It did look like a goal was inevitable.
Gini went over on his ankle so Henderson came on. The commentators called him a would be captain and said it was nice of Milner to give him the arm band. I'm ranting at the screen what are they talking about he IS the captain, Milner is vice, it's how it works!
There was a shot that the keeper just got his hand to. I could've swore it got past him, only to see it go off the post and off wide. At half time I went off ranting that a 39 year old shouldn't be saving that!
We finished the half with 12 shots, 1 on target. Maribor did have one shot because they did actually attempt to come out and score at one point so especially by the end of the match they ended up more attacking than Man United.
The half time talk worked again. I guess they've started to properly listen to their gaffer. It took five minutes for Salah's frustrations to come to an end. Trent Alexander Arnold gets another cross in and this time, this time it makes contact with the right player. That's Salah's 10th!

Maribor did get one good strike in that Karius had to save after it'd gone through the crowd. I don't know whether it's my low estimations of the lad but I was impressed by that one and declared it his best save for Liverpool.
