The international break actually went alright other than Gomez getting injured and the news being dead apart from transfer rubbish. I saw the last minute of England and the Netherlands

The legends match came. I watched it and absolutely loved it. I started writing the chapter, did the title, did a little bit on the international games and then deleted it because well I told myself it was because it's not an official match but it was also cos I didn't get to go and there was a lot to talk about, ten goals for a start.

It was so good to see everyone back and believing they can still do everything they could do years ago. It really reminded me that once you are part of Liverpool you really are family for the rest of your life as long as you do your best and live by the Liverpool way while you're here.

Fowler's so fat he belly bounced his first goal in and then got us back to equalising after we'd gone from cruising to losing.

John Aldridge was on for about 5 minutes and managed to just fall over 3 times. The first time I thought was somehow intentional because he did manage to kick the ball in the end of it. The whole stadium laughed so much.

Alonso played for both teams, starting for Bayern a little too early. I was so conflicted seeing him in his Bayern kit like I was mad at him but I couldn't be mad at him at the same time.

We should've won 6-5 but the linesman ruled a goal offside, going against the spirit of the game.

MotM- Andrew Robertson

(The likeliest source of something, anything, being created – and he finally come good late on, with a fantastic piece of control and clever ball to Salah for the winner. Brought energy and purpose, even when others were labouring. He got us out of some tricky situations.)

Klopp referring to this kick off as breakfast time couldn't be much closer to the truth today, I had about ten minutes after I finished eating.

The real football is back and it started out crap. The streams were crap. The football was crap. Which is pretty fitting becayse that may well be one of the scrappiest games I've ever seen.

Why do we always look so disjointed after a break?! The stream skipped forward to Palace having scored a penalty and I was like that's not fair you can't do that to us!

We couldn't work out why that was deemed a penalty, Karius did his best to get out of it as soon as he saw the ball was only going up. He went the wrong way Palace had their lead and everything felt so much worse.

It went from we're rusty we need to get our act together to here we go again, losing to bloody Palace. That dragged out all the way to half time with TAA having an awful time against Zaha. I can see why we've had links with him.

Mane had a go at earning a penalty but apparently he didn't fall quick enough so it was a dive and a yellow card. It was silly of him and almost got him in BIG  trouble later.

You know it's frustrating as all hell when TAA even gets done for a blatant foul throw. I do not understand why foul throws are a thing. What does it matter if he lifted his leg up?! Unless they start on the pitch I don't see the problem. Can anyone seriously explain why that's a rule?

Dad was ripping him to shreds saying he has to go off for Clyne and I'm like Clyne's clearly not ready yet or he'd have his place back!

Half time was so stressful, the idea we could come back and have more of the same.

Whatever he said was the right thing, or maybe they all woke up and realise they needed to play together.

The commentary was a good twenty seconds ahead of the visuals at the start of the first half so we got to witness the not so good twice and we got to celebrate Mane's goal twice.

The first celebration was kind of subdued and sarcastic, hoping we'd get to see it and then the real celebration came.

Milner sent the ball in across the penalty area and Sadio Mane turned it home expertly.

Mane escaped seeing red. He thought he was fouled and the game stopped so grabbed the ball but then got done for handball because of it. Luckily we got one of those rare moment when refs are human and act reasonable. It was really bizarre especially because it looked like the ref was going to send him off but I never thought that was going to happen. Maybe he didn't like the Palace players getting around him or maybe it was a let off from earlier since he wanted to give him the penalty but listened to the linesman.

The free kick produced a very good save from Karius to push it away.

Mane went off, sparing him from being sent off and so did Gini. Lallana and Alex OC came on.

Lallana went into a tackle so determined and ended up still on the floor. The stretcher guys came over and everything but he walked off. It was so awful to see him back and like three minutes later he's off injured again.

Lovren replaced him. Which we found really weird, three minutes earlier you sent on attack and then put on defence when forced. He did a really good job though.

Zaha once more ventured into the Liverpool penalty area, and that never works out too well. The ball popped around inside the box for a few heart-thumping seconds, but the Reds were able to clear. I can't stand it when there's so many people in the box like that, heart racing sickening feeling, so glad it was over without conceding.

Milner played a gorgeous one-two with Chamberlain and pulled the ball back for Mohamed Salah. He needed an extra couple of inches, he couldn't quite reach. The ball bobbled free and Palace managed to clear.

Robertson absolutely whipped a ball across goal but it was cleared for a corner. Benteke cleared but not enough. The ball returned, though, and Salah tried to find Firmino in the box for Wam-Bassaka to intervene.

It was building and that winning goal came curtsy of Mo Salah. The ball was pinged across the area by Robertson and, almost by destiny, the ball falls to Mo's feet. Goal number 29!

We shouted so loud and tried to high five but I missed to I grabbed my dad's wrist to pull it back and missed again! My heart was still stressing from the action at the other end so I felt like I was having a panic attack when that goal went in it was racing that much.

Seven minutes plus to hold it.

We mostly, mostly managed to keep hold of the game in this time.

Dad predicted 5 mins extra, we got 4. That's still way too many and I went all conspiracy theory about the extra time being set for the narratives of Sky Sports etc not the situation of the actual game.

Benteke goes down after being sandwiched by Lovren and Robertson. Replays show he's the one tugging at Lovren's shirt so he was never getting a penalty.

I couldn't have been more happier when Karius got hold of the ball and the whistle blowing. We just did the double over our bogey team! Klopp's 100th game, what a way to get through it.

Next up Man City at home in the Champion's League quarter final. Wednesday 4th April 2018 19:45.

I actually thought this was on Tuesday and was going to be a really fast turn around but Wednesday that's a bit better. a bit.

I was pretty impressed by all the singing today but it's gonna be nothing compared to then. Dad said we were gonna lose so bad based on the first half today and all I could come back with is that's a completely different situation. I'm hoping and I do think we can get through it. I believe we can go into the next round of the Champion's League at City's expense.
