Liverpool 3-0 Huddersfield

So in the week there was quite a bit of news from the young ones which every day I was like I'm going to do a post and I kept needing to do other things, things kept happening so I kept being glad I hadn't done it yet and I couldn't decide on a title. Then Saturday came.

Jamie Carragher presented a premier league's greatest moments program. We were featured a few times and what I took from it about us was 1 nothing ever changes, they showed the Liverpool 4-3 Newcastle match, that's two teams who want the title and are attempting to go for it just by attacking, sounds familiar, right? Both failed. 2 However bad we think our keepers are, at least we don't have David James as keeper anymore, just in the course of the clips shown on the program he let in about 10 goals! He was involved in Portsmouth 7-4 Reading, the PL's highest scoring match!

First the u23s beat Man United. Were five points clear at the top of the league after that one. The next day I saw Liverpool Echo suggesting that the team would be split up to go out on loan. Surely giving them the experience of sticking together as a team and winning a title is better than sending them off and hoping the other clubs will play them. I say go for the title, we need our team winning titles whatever level.

Brewster and the u17s world cup. He's delayed my writing this a bit because the final started half an hour after Liverpool's kick off so I watched that from them moment our whistle went and of course that had to watch it through to seeing the medals. He scored one today, the first getting England back into the game after being 2 down against spain, it finished 5-2. They won the Euros, we got em back with the World cup. After one of the goals he kissed the camera and I'm like hmm I wonder who he learnt that from...

He won golden boot after his back to back hat tricks.

The cringe of them all wearing their tops on backwards like that was killing me

Ben Woodburn signed a new contract, a five year one now he's eighteen. I can't believe how quickly he's grown up and changed from

Gerrard's u18s just won 4-2 against Rangers in a friendly.

And the ladies are playing against Sunderland right now which I will update when they finish. It finished 4-1 with a hat trick from Natasha Harding  They've been running the Coppafeel campaign with their sponsors Avon.

To the Senior men

MotM- Daniel Sturridge

(I'm going entirely by heart, he's FINALLY gotten 100, he was the one to break the deadlock with yet another one of his fine goals. It's a good day when you get to see Sturridge danc)

It seems Coutinho's Barcelona back is troubling him again. Lovren was picked to go right back into his position but managed to get out of it in the warm up. Which is kind of funny because I tried to watch the Redmen TV team news video but it just kept buffering and all I made out was Chris being angry about Lovren and he didn't even play.

The first 30 minutes were boring weren't they? Well actually the first three minutes were exciting and the game I'd been waiting for against Huddersfield. Huddersfield must've mistook themselves for being Man United after beating them because they didn't care for anything but defence. The passing on both sides was pretty bad. So slow, so many panicky a bit short passes and Mignolet, was he trying to make it entertaining or something leaving his kicks to the last second?!

We get a penalty for shirt pulling by their captain no less. Friend is no friend to shirt pullers. Surely Milner's on the pitch Milner takes it, maybe Firmino since it's supposed to be his duty this season. No, it's Salah, well I suppose it did work out for Egypt. It's saved, the ball comes back out for Henderson and he hits the woodwork.

We go into half time and everything feels so bad because it's gonna be more of the same until we're bored to death isn't it? NO. We woke up, we found speed, we went for it and we got goals.

I'm so glad I chose to stick on my Sturridge shirt after seeing him on the team sheet. I genuinely said to myself this morning, nah I'm not putting it on, he'll never start today. Three hours later Klopp makes me wrong and on goes the shirt. You know what's coming after that paragraph.

He's finally scored club goal 100. Welcome to the 100 club!

It's a few minutes after half time. For once it's us benefiting from a poor defencive header. He lobbed it over the keeper, right into the back of the net!

Just after Brewster scored his goal for England Firmino added to Liverpool's tally. It was from a corner! What is going on?! We don't get penalties from shirt pullers, we don't get defenders making mistakes and we certainly don't score from corners! Milner delivered, Firmino got away from Mooy (usually a very good player for Huddersfield) and headered it.

Speaking of Milner and Huddersfield, their biggest rivalry is Leeds, he's a Leeds lad, I didn't hear them boo and not because they're a quiet lot because they're not, they've had their German supporting a team training like the west brom hand holding going to the fans thing that didn't come off too well with us, they've made good of that kind of thing. Arsenal and Spurs should learn from them!

Klopp went pretty early with the subs. First Firmino off, Oxlade on. Then Can or Sturridge.

Matip just can't head a ball into a net can he?! He missed two again today. I don't wanna criticize cos I want him to make sure it always goes not in the net at the other end but

It doesn't matter today because we have a team goal in us. Sturridge, Can and Salah got involved before it got to Wijnaldum, who worked it into space and hammered it home off the underside of the bar!

Finally Solanke for Salah.

Solanke really stood out to me with how much he did try and got pretty close to scoring in the short time he was on.

I can watch match of the day again!

Next up Maribor at home in the Champion's League Wednesday 1st November, 19:45.

If we could score 7 away where English teams don't beat them, what can we produce at home?

I can't wait and since it's Wednesday I'm gonna be posting 5 days in a row again if I get my Oasis stuff done as if this week isn't busy enough!
