Brewster's had an article in the Guardian urging UEFA to get tougher with sanctions for racist abuse. He really shouldn't be having to do it, Klopp shouldn't've had to spend this press conference expressing his/ the club's support, UEFA should have the consequences there but they don't, they think getting players to do posters and stuff is enough and it's clearly not. Are they going to change I doubt it. They could be ruining the lives and careers of people like Brewster because they'd rather think it's not happening so they can only assume their reporting of it doesn't matter. So glad Brewster's not going to take it and let it slide.

I watched the Swansea game over and over, reveling in TAA's goal especially since I missed it in the match, so happy for him and now I feel awful for what other people are saying to our players to try to make them feel bad for who they are.

On a much better, happier note, just in case you've been living under a rock or something, we signed that player Southampton was too stubborn to let us have a few months ago. He watched the match today. Welcome Virgil Van Dijk. They kept randomly having the camera go and stare at him for a few seconds, I'm so glad the game got too tight so they had to stop that and focus on the game!

While Natasha Harding has left our ladies which sucks.

MotM- Mohamed Salah

(I wanted to go Milner in the first half but ultimately it has to go to the man who changed the game and got us our result. Another two goals. Also I found out when someone asked how I feel about him and I just blurted out everything I could I found out he shares my birthday!)

How the hell did Schmeichel not get booked for time wasting in this match?! I know it's often let go but he was taking all the time every time he had a goal kick and then he prevented Robertson getting the ball for a corner  and still no yellow.

There was a surprise Karius in goal, fair enough. Then once the match had started I got a glimpse of some ginger hair, agh I just saw Bogdan! Thought I'd imagined it, someone in the crowd who looked like him but no, he was there behind Klopp's shoulder. That was a scary sight but it's fine we already have three keepers.

Vardy's gotten in goals against us way too easily. It went in so slowly and so easily that I had a hard time believing it really happened and wasn't going to be ruled out.

That was the first goal we have conceded at the Kop end in this Premier League season, what a shit goal for it to be. It came from Matip passing to Can and him not bothering to go for it fast enough.

I don't want to highlight the bad in our players but Can looked way too much like he couldn't be bothered all match. He looked like he was waiting for January to come so he could start talking to Juventus or wherever it is he wants to go.

Mane got two goals ruled offside, Salah missed a few,  we resorted to long shots from way out of the box that were wide or straight to the keeper. The ref's not interested in our penalty shouts, there's no way we're getting that kind of luck today. Getting back into this game seemed hopeless despite our dominance.

Klopp said we responded the best yet to going one down, I don't know if I agree but we didn't act like we were losing, Leicester acted like they had something to defend which frustrated us into those shots that didn't help.

At one point dad said he'd rather have Vardy than Firmino because he's more prolific. I get that we don't see what Firmino does much watching on the telly but no, just no.

Salah was ready to get us back in it though. Mane back-heeled it and Salah finished. He shrugged off Fuchs and drilled low past the keeper.

We were keen, too keen to get to the centre and go again. Both Can and Firmino tried to wrestle the ball from Maguire after the goal, both a little too keenly. Can andMaguire were flashed the yellow for their trouble.

Vardy got away with slamming a forearm into Matip's face. Liverpool didn't get the free-kick, the ref stopped play and then Leicester kicked it out. Is it just me or did the ref love a drop ball. I really didn't get the point of dropping the ball for whoever to kick it to the opposite goalie or out of play.

Mane went off Alex OC came on. I was pretty happy with that, Mane's still not quite back to contributing like he did before while Alex OC can't wait to contribute.

While Vardy and Mahrez went off for Okazaki and Slimani, wasn't so happy to see them two come on. I was more annoyed though that the pair leaving the field walked off so slowly and still no one got in trouble for time wasting!

However Milner's flick got to Salah, he was able to turn Maguire and lash the ball past the keeper. We finally have the lead I was sure was never coming. What a turn that was which is pretty great when dad was constantly like agh TURN why aren't they turning?! That's 23.

I begged Milner for the boring he called for. I don't know if we got it, we weren't going for goal like crazy but we did let Leicester have a go.

Salah went off (apparently Klopp doesn't like hat tricks or is capable of thinking about more than the potential glory of a current game - he was limping) Wijnaldum took his place.

Robertson was there to cover and to save Matip's blushes as Okazaki threatened to burst clear. Yeah, we were taking our one goal lead and letting them back in. Then there was a massive scramble in Liverpool box. Maguire crossed but it was cleared away by Lovren under his own posts.

Klavan came on replacing Coutinho. Coutinho had a go at time wasting, making sure he was on the other end of the pitch when the swap was announced, jogging to the other side focusing on clapping to everyone before he went.

Robertson got his first booking and then the extra three minutes went out with Karius punching Klavan in the face and him being down for treatment. That's one way for stopping the opposition from getting the chance to score.

I don't think it's sunk in that we actually won this game. I couldn't feel more like we lost without losing badly. We definitely could've done a lot better. I spent most of the match dreading another January.

Happy New Year. Onwards and upwards in 2018.

Next up Burnley away New Year's Day Monday 1st January 2018 15:00.

Can't say I'm excited for this one but hopefully Salah's fine and we'll be fine.

Also January Transfer Window about to begin, wonder who else it'll being and who we'll see go.
