Did I say Milner got Twitter and Instagram and it's awesome. It's boring Milner but actually Milner doing it so far. I'm not sure where that leaves boring Milner though.

I hate the new Nivea advert, it is so bad. Can't we go back to Milner being stomped on my a monster instead of that cringe?!

The women won 4-0 away at Yeovil Town. Isn't that 4-0 both matches?

Also Lucas Leiva has been banging in goals. I think he's three in three. Who are you and what have you done with our Lucas? I'm so happy to see him getting on at Lazio but what a surprise!

One of Dad's Liverpool shirts from the early 2000s (I think) has emerged (they might be trying to sell it, I dunno why else it's suddenly appeared), I saw a glimpse of it, the Carlsberg sponsor, the nostalgia! I saw it as a sign.

MotM- I honestly don't think it'd be right to single out one player after that. It was the fans who spent two hours gathering and greeting the bus and then singing the whole time. It was Klopp's constant belief in his boys and his daring. It was of course the players, even Conor Masterson who sat on the bench as a centre back option.

I got the fear big time yesterday so didn't get it today. My belly was aching and my eyes were watering thinking about it until I watched the Redmen TV build up show and then I was just confident and excited. I only watched a tiny bit of the press conference though and didn't follow it on Liverpool Echo either. I'm glad I had to focus on work because my line manager was in today or I'd probably have been on Liverpool Echo losing my mind waiting all day.

I just learnt Pep's name is short for Josep. I really like that. (my grandad was a Joe) I had no idea what Pep was going to be short for, his name could just be Pep for all I knew. Thanks for putting that on the team sheet display BT sport, on with the match.

The atmosphere, there really is no noise like the Anfield noise on a night like tonight. I like that BT must've stuck their mics at the City fans when they were singing "just like United, you live in the past" I was confused cos I thought they were singing West Ham United... so I was like what's West Ham got to do with anything or the past and then I just pointed out our past is a good place to be. Hey, guess what, we've won it five times. The Gerrard song, now they're allowed, them and Chelsea are well in their rights to sing that song, everyone else can fuck off.

So either Trent Alexander Arnold learnt a lot since Saturday or he was hustling the last two matches. He absolutely thrived against Sane tonight. City just kept sending the ball to Sane, thinking he'd manage what Rashford and Zaha had and for the most part he got nowhere. I especially enjoyed seeing him go for it trying to gee everyone on a few minutes to go with the arms and everything not to dissimilar to Gerrard. When I saw his name on the team sheet I did get a little nervous because of his recent record and how big of a match that was going to be but he took it all in his stride. He enjoyed it SO much.

Where's Sterling? They didn't put him on cos they knew he'd be booed off and when they resorted to putting him on he couldn't be booed of because he hardly touched the ball. About the only time he did have the ball he managed to get Henderson a yellow banning him from the next game, the snake!

I can't tell you how many times I told the commentators to shut up! McManaman, saying City need an away goal a million times is not being impartial! You're a crap legend. I did like that they complained about the lack of shots, never mind goal in the first ten minutes and one minute later Salah scored. Goals on 12, 21 and 31, I loved that almost perfect pattern, which dad didn't appreciate like I did.

Luck is a big part of football. City got flagged offside very quickly, they were eagle eyed towards the boys in light blue, not so much for the mighty reds. Salah's just to quick, they didn't see he was off side in the lead up to the first goal.
