Liverpool 1-1 Everton

Elsewhere the u18s drew to Man United. Liverpool Echo called it a heartbreak which confused me until I read the part where it was like they really, REALLY didn't deserve that late goal, sound familiar?

The ladies' match against Arsenal was cancelled/ postponed by the weather.

The u23s scored three times in eight minutes to win 4-1 away at Sunderland. 8 points at the top of the PL2 league.

MotM- Mohamed Salah

(What a goal that was again! Constantly running to try to get through and get something as usual and puts us ahead with that stunner!)

Another kinda odd team sheet. Klopp, you promised us 100% and gave us Solanke up front, with the Brazilians benched. In what way is that 100%? I don't have a problem with giving him the chances but he is in no way someone you put on when you're determined to win as you said you are, not right now. This was important! Where was Sturridge? Why the new kid over Sturridge?!

AGH fucking Sam Allardyce!

Agh fucking Wayne Rooney!

Agh Dejan Lovren!

That, I'm not sure I can say that match was worth all the snow panic. OH my god, 14 hour blizzard will cancel the match!!! It snowed a bit before hand and got quite heavy during, nowhere near enough to cancel a Premier League match.

We couldn't've been much more dominate in the first half, we got possession up to 80-20 but it didn't matter too much because getting past all those blues seemed impossible.

Sigurdsson went in with two feet on Henderson and only saw yellow, that was followed by Gueye on Mane from behind.

Salah scored another absolute stunner He skipped past Gueye (who of course couldn't risk anything having just been booked so did nothing) and curls an unstoppable effort into the top corner! What a goal?! That was another stop and stare in disbelief goal.

Mane could've assisted a easy shot for the three coming up to the right of him but he went for a shot himself and it was wide. That's a difficult moment to look back on now.

Is it just me or is Mane jealous of Salah getting the limelight. He tried an acrobatic effort from the edge of the box which was on target bu also safely into the keeper's hands.

Everton were awful. They were constantly trying to long pass to each other and the ball going straight out of play. That or Pickford giving the ball straight back to Mignolet, which was nice of him. Big Sam brought the BORING! And there was no way they were getting anything outta this game. Their fans went nuts at getting a corner which Mignolet punched the first ball clear before catching the follow up cross. They had two touches inside our box before the penalty incident, now it's four and we've dropped two bloody points!

There was no way that was a penalty. Lovren had done really well un until that moment, intercepting, getting up the field and everything. It's snowing, the grass is wet, how could you think to push/ put your hands to someone who's going away from goal and is completely without support?! He's just gonna go down like an Olympic diver!

I know it was soft to say the least and you didn't actually do anything Lovren but there's really no point getting booked for arguing about it. We're all pissed

We don't do well at chasing games against these teams so stop putting yourselves in that position! We had crosses but they either went over everyone or they headed over.

Up until the penalty I got to enjoy how shit Rooney was being. I was wishing he'd come home much sooner. There was no one else who was going to take that penalty than him. We've just gifted him his first Merseyside Derby goal, as if we haven't given him enough over the years! I hate it so much that we gave him that joy, AGAIN but again, not as much as when it was with the other lot.

 Danny Ings came on!

It was quite strange after the last few matches to see ourselves in a place of desperation for another goal. Henderson even showed of how good he is at blazing one over the bar. I don't think I stopped face-palming from that one until the whistle!

We were supposed to ruin their Christmas again and go on to ruin their New Year too. Now, if anything, they've ruined our weekend if not our Christmas. We would've been third for the weekend, instead we keep fourth. Hopefully the FA cup will go better.

So disappointing to see us so dominate, to see Everton so shite, to to break through with that goal, to have all the corners and to walk away with a single point. It's just so wasteful and couldn't feel any more of a defeat. I'm not old enough to remember an actual defeat against them at Anfield but this feels bad enough, far worse than the Rodgers' exit match because this is not us, we are far better than the result we managed to produce today and Everton far worse than the result reflects. Still glad I didn't have to miss it though.

Next up West Brom at home, Wednesday 13 December 2017.

Pardew's Brom, can't wait for that one...
