It had gone too far.
Patton had been eating too many sweets, and it was out of hand. They couldn't keep this going.
Day one wasn't too bad. Patton didn't react too badly to not having any sugar.
Day two, the lack of sugar set in, and he was convinced he was being mistreated.
Day three, his temper was short, and he was snapping over nothing.
Day four, he broke multiple things, and cried a lot
Day five, he tried conning Virgil into giving him something. Anything with sugar. His puppy dog eyes didn't work.
Day six, he calmed down, and he managed to go an hour or two without thinking about it.
Day seven. He thought it was over. Logan told him it wasn't.
Day eight, he searched for something sugary, and ended up with a cup of tea, no sugar, and a cheese sandwich.
Day nine, he wanted sugar, but he didn't see the point in asking. It was always no.
Day ten, he'd given up. He didn't care. He needed to be better, and he would try that.
And if he didn't make it another day, who is to say, but Thomas had a bad headache a month later, and it was easy to pin the blame on Patton's anger.
