When you slipped and began falling, you closed your eyes tightly. Disappointment hit you like a wave as you fell further into the neverending darkness. Peaking open one eye, you could barely see the light above, the further you fell, the darker your surroundings grew. You bit your lip, angry at yourself for not being strong enough to continue.

But then your consciousness would give excuses about the weak bridge you had stood on, you knew that none were valid. Anyone else in your class would've been able to save themselves. This made you feel even worse, angrier if anything. Now you had a brief idea of how Bakugou felt every day. You fully opened your eyes and looked up at the disappearing sky, there was no way that this was going to be the end of you.

"Takeyama was hesitant with leaving the first island above the fall but seems that the bridge she stood on gave way, causing her to plummet into the depths of the dark hole below!" Present mic announces. Many people in the crowd gasped as they watched it happen, she had been the first one to fall. Not only were they worried about the girl's safety but they were somewhat disappointed. After the robo-inferno, they were all excited to see what else this girl had in store for them. Aizawa sighed and commented on a few other students before letting his tired eyes return to the fall where (Y/n) had completely disappeared. But his mouth hung open in surprise when something shot up into the air, having appeared from the darkness of the fall.

A young (h/c)-haired girl hung in mid-air for a second, her arms stretched upwards. Her gym jacket had been taken off and was now tied around her waist, a pair of large black wings sprouted from her back.

"And would you look at that, a reappearance from Miss Takeyama. After slipping into the abyss at the fall, she has made an amazing comeback along with a well-missed quirk. I hope I'm not the only one who remembers a very special heroine, Lady Angel. If anything, this is definitely angel form unless Hawks has a secret little sister," the blond pro hero chuckles into the mic.

You descended from the sky slowly, gliding over the fall and continuing in the obstacle race. You passed many other students, ones which must've passed you while you fell. Uraraka, Satou, Shouji and Asui from your class, they all stared in awe as you flew past them. It was a sight to behold, no one had quite expected anything like this at the sports festival, it made it even more exciting for the audience. The cheers grew louder, you were sure you could hear them chanting.

"Angel! Angel! Angel!" you smiled softly as you flew above the heads of more competitors. The bandana boy, Tetsutetsu, Kirishima and Sero. Their eyes widened at the sight of you and those who knew, Kirishima and Sero, looked happy for you. They knew that you were hiding it and seeing this just proved that you were back.

You just felt a little guilty since you weren't sure how all of this would play out afterwards. How long would you stay after this? Would you be able to stay with all the friends you had made at U.A as well as your mother, aunt Yu and Hitoshi? These were the things that currently plagued your mind. Flying above everyone, you felt so free and weightless. Having such a clear mind, you couldn't help but let these thoughts slip through. You had to force yourself out of your daydream and pay attention to the course. You could see the beginning of the next obstacle up ahead.

You must've been zoned out when Present mic announced it but from what you could see, it was a minefield. As you arrived, you could see Iida and Tokoyami not too far away. It seemed like they had only just started this part. Not being able to fly was a great disadvantage for an obstacle like this. The others were so busy trying to avoid the mines and so weren't going very fast. You easily passed them, giving small smiles to the two boys who you considered to be your friends.

The next person you passed was was Midoriya, this actually surprised you. He didn't seem to have very good control over his quirk and it wasn't one which enhanced his speed. You wondered how he was so far ahead. You hadn't paid any mind to what he was doing, something which you should've done.

With a loud explosion, Midoriya was flung over you and a majority of the mines. Your eyebrows furrowed in annoyance as you increased speed, passing two students from class 1-B. Up ahead you had seen Midoriya land, now running in front of both Todoroki and Bakugou. From what you had heard from the broadcast, Todoroki had been in front for a majority of the race and Bakugou behind him, meaning that these were the first three.

You couldn't help but let a smirk form on your lips as the feeling of competitiveness took over you. It was more playful if anything, you didn't wish to harm the others, you just wanted to show them what you could do. Increasing speed, the gap between the four of you became smaller.

"In the front we have Midoriya, closely followed by both Todoroki and Bakugou. And something none of us had expected at the start yet cheered for after the incident at the fall. Takeyama follows close behind the group, increasing her speed with every flap of her wings," Present mic announces. All three boys look back at you, each harbouring a different expression. You weren't interested in how they felt at the moment so you kept going, pushing yourself beyond your own limits as you had done the day Tsuki sat carelessly in the middle of the road.

The finish line was drawing near, the winner would be either one of you. Peeking over your shoulder, no one was in sight. It seemed like the two 1-B students were quite far back. The three boys ahead had put a lot of distance between themselves and the others while your speed and convenient quirk helped you close the gap. Your back started to hurt from putting so much strain on your wings but you didn't let it bother you. You did pull back slightly, worried about your performance in the part of the sports festival. You wings no longer hurt as you glided not too far off the ground, watching ahead as the three boys passed the finish line. It didn't bother you that you were fourth, if anything you were proud. Of not only yourself but the three ahead too. Both Todoroki and Bakugou had announced that they were going to top and they did, something that surprised you was Midoriya. You smiled softly as you passed the finish line, standing in the open with Bakugou, Todoroki and Midoriya.

Bakugou looked very angry with his placing and you felt that he would blow up Midoriya if he didn't watch out. Todoroki seemed annoyed that he didn't come first but he looked content, his face harbouring its normal emotionless expression. Midoriya was the happiest of the three, he had come first after all. It was so unexpected but you were also not surprised at the same time, you knew that he had the potential to do well you just wondered how he was going to do it. After the Present mic announced the first, second and third placings, he called out yours. You were the only one who had finished so far besides the first three. When your name echoed over throughout the stadium, all three boys turned to looks at you, expressions of surprise evident when their eyes locked onto your wings.

You took a step forward and smiled at the group, bowing your head slightly.

"Congratulations," you praise, "You all did very well." Bakugou huffed while Todoroki stared blankly at you, looking almost confused. Midoriya, however, stepped forward and offered you his hand to shake.

"You did well too, (Y/n)-chan, I could hear Present mic talking about you over the speaker," he enthuses. You reach forward and shake his hand, gripping his hand firmly before the two of you let go. It was then that other students started to finish. You were glad that there were many from your class passing as well as others from many different departments within the school. But there was someone you were especially happy to see pass. Hitoshi walked over the finish line, having a group of confused looking students follow behind him. When he spotted you standing there, he smiled lightly and began approaching you. You took a step forward to meet him in the middle but were interrupted by Midnight's announcement.

"The first 42 students will now move on to the next event!" She looks up to the screen and watches as it illuminates with the name of the next event.

"Cavalry battle! Each student will have a number of points depending on what place they came in the obstacle race, first place is worth ten million points. Pick your teams of four or less and get ready to fight for those points!"

I see comments about this all the time and I already know about it. I have done a terrible job with this story. The main idea is supposed to be Hitoshi x reader but it's only partially that and there's a big hole where he doesn't show up at all. Sorry, was too busy developing relationships and stuff. I was so excited to finally write about this characters because I love them so much. Any way, when I write about Bakugou and Iida (I plan to write an x reader for both) it will be fully based on the relationship between (Y/n) and them. Vote and follow me for more. Thank ya XD
