Ever since Peter was bitten by that radioactive spider on the Oscorp field trip, his cells mutated, giving him similar traits to the spider.

#1- THE WEBS

It was a complete accident that Peter found out about that particular power, in fact it had terrified him at first.

A week after the bite, once his fever had gone down and he was able to breath without feeling like he had inhaled a thousand ghost peppers, he was sitting alone in his room. Aunt May was working late at the hospital, taking over a night shift for a colleague in need of rest, and wouldn't be home until the early hours of the morning.

Peter took advantage of the situation to tidy his room, a bin bag hanging off the back of his desk chair for the trash and a Twenty One Pilot album playing on his cheap speaker. He was singing along to one of his favourite songs, not paying attention to what he was doing, and knocked the speaker off his window ledge by accident.

Without thinking, he reached out to grab it. A single strand of web shot from his wrist, protruding from a small needle-prick sized hole in his wrist. It latched onto the speaker and, on auto-pilot (no pun intended) Peter pulled the object back up before anyone could see what he just did.

Once the speaker was carefully placed away from the window, Peter looked down at his wrist in shock. He dug out an empty can of soda from the trash bag, balancing it on the corner of his desk, and focused. Sure enough, after one sharp gesture, another web strand shot out onto the can, hitting it off the desk. The sound of it clanging to the ground echoed in his room.

He practised the power for two entire hours, shutting his blinds to ignore the neighbours and the task of tidying his room forgotten. He worked out it took around sixty minutes for the webs t dissolve completely and tested out their strength.

It felt weird, the webs that is, but he got used to it.

#2- THE ABILITY TO WALK ON ANY SURFACE AND #3- HIGH JUMPING

Peter was a bit jumpy when it came to thunderstorms, he always had been. It wasn't because of the noise, though that was a factor, it was mostly because the death of his parents. Their plane had been struck down by lightning, crashing into the sea, never to be seen again. It was safe to assume, no one had survived.

From a young age, he had begun to fear lighting and thunder. So, it wasn't really a surprise at all that storms made Peter a little jumpy to say the least.

May was in the kitchen cooking up dinner for the two of them, making simple spaghetti and Bologna, and left Peter to study in peace. He had come home with a mountain of homework yet again (he swore that his English teacher had it out for him), most of which was due the next day.

Peter had been blasting music in his ears, loud enough to make him go deaf, and only took them off to call out to May in order to find out when Dinner would be ready. That was when the lightning had cracked, the loudest compared to all others, and made Peter jump out of his seat.

Onto the ceiling.

Which he stuck on.

With his bare hands and feet.

Swallowing a shocked shriek, he dropped onto the floor much more gracefully than he had expected, stumbling back onto his chair while staring at the ceiling.

"Peter?" May's muffled voice came through the door, calling out for her nephew "Are you okay? What was that noise?"

Overcoming his initial shock, Peter called back "Someone dropped something on the floor above, May, don't worry." He hated lying to her, he really did, but somethings are best left secret. She already worried for her nephew so much, the list didn't need to be added to any time soon.
