Though they tried their best, the police of Queen's struggled to handle the high crime rates and many cases were left unsolved. That was until the small group of teenage geniuses popped up out of the blue who outdid all of the precincts in the area, earning a reputation from a 100% solving record and, somehow, got Spider-Man to help them out every so often.

They first appeared on the public's radars when closing the two month closed case, the murder of Amelia Kriky, a twenty year old woman who had gone out with friends one night and found dismembered in seven different garbage cans across Queen's the next.

The twisted-minded culprit had turned out to be her ex-boyfriend, Jamie Crooks, her high school sweetheart that had never gotten over the heartbreak. It had only taken the team a week to solve it completely, getting the famous vigilante to take him down and turn him into the nearest station, one of the members following with the folder full of enough evidence to convict the murderer.

The group consisted of four classmates, though they would call in a few friends when their specific skills were needed (they never joined due to their fear of getting hurt).

Ned, the guy who offered the support from his desk, directing his friends though the CCTV cameras nearby and through the earpieces he designed. There was no phone, computer or device he couldn't hack into and was mostly the one who could leak the messages from suspects and victim, or even unhelpful and untrustworthy witnesses. He may not of been on the field with his best friends, but that didn't mean he was any less important.

Michelle Jones, one of the scariest women to ever walk upon the Earth. She could get anything out of anyone, using terrifying interrogation techniques she had developed from a young age to face of the criminals. She wasn't lazy either, she could run faster than most in her track team, and was more than smart. When the rest of the team were acting like idiots, she'd be the one to get them in line and point out a piece of evidence that had been glaring them in the face.

Eugene 'Flash' Thompson, Midtown High's resident rich boy, The first few years of him attending that school, he had bullied anyone who annoyed him, but upon meeting the rest of the team, he turned his life around. He could get the group whatever they needed, information from his father's lawyer records and had a surprisingly large knowledge on most of the laws in their state. He was fast, hence the nickname, had taken many fighting classes along with Parkour and was an expert in chemistry (hence the smoke bombs, actual mini bombs and a few other items they used).

Then there was Peter Parker, the unofficial leader of the team and the kid behind the Spider-Man mask (not that anyone but his friends knew that). Thanks to his abnormal DNA, he could use it to his advantage in taking down criminals and his hidden genius-level IQ to take on the cases. He had made at least a few friends in every police department, meaning he could get a hold of the cold cases and be in the clear to take on the ongoing ones that were still in the news.

The pack of teenagers had become almost famous, to the point they were sent offers to feature on talk shows and give interviews about their 'hobby'. Of course, they always refused and Ned made sure any pictures of themselves taken by the Press stayed off the internet, along with their full names.

On a day that started off like any other, Peter got an alert on his custom phone (a group birthday gift from his friends he had received along with some textbooks and a glitter bomb card) that he had heard many times before. It was from the app Ned had created with him on a weekend, a private hacker-proof chatting site they used to talk about business.
