WE ARE C.A.T

While the Avengers were both loved and hated by the media, taking up the front pages of tabloids and filling the spotlight, another group of enhanced heroes helped save the world. They didn't care for much attention, after all, staying in the shadows helped them do their job, and therefore didn't complain when their work was occasionally assumed to be that of the Avengers.

They had all met when attending Midtown, though there were a few friends that soon became members from elsewhere.

The founding members were Peter Parker and Ned Leeds. Peter, the teenager behind the mask of the vigilante, was Spider-Man, from Queen's. Ever since he had been bitten by that radioactive spider when visiting his father at work when he was only four years old, he had been the holder of incredible powers, though not without the responsibilities that followed shortly after.

Ned Leeds had always been smarter than most of his classmates, until he met Peter that is, who challenged his intellect while still remaining humble. Inspired by his best friends 'side hobby' from engineering and Lego's, Ned developed groundbreaking technology that was leaps ahead of Tony Stark's. He created suits for everyone of his teammates, setting up a HQ in the side room off of his bedroom and became the groups guy in the chair.

They had quickly found Michelle Jones, a teenage girl their age that had been raised by strict parents in another country and forced into training at a young age, becoming a spy for a Hydra wannabe group. However, on a mission when she was seven, she escaped and grew up in an orphanage before she was shipped off to America to live with the Joneses, a nice couple who absolutely adored their new addition to their little family. She used her training on the streets to battle the crime in her area, leaving no trace behind of her presence.

Flash Thompson, he had seemed to be the stereotypical rich boy on the first day, but it was soon found that was not the truth. He pushed people away, afraid Venom, the Symbiote that had been with him for almost three years, might hurt them on a first meeting. The annoying voice in the back of his head didn't, despite Flash's fears, and took a liking to his new friends. Together, the two of them joined the team and helped fight for good.

Wade Wilson, the 'slightly' insane antihero by the name of Deadpool, had crossed paths with the team one night. Realising he finally had hero friends his age, he happily joined and soon became the boyfriend of Peter (or as he called him, baby boy). In fact, he had been the one to name them C.A.T (Cool Ass Teenagers). They ended up going with it, no one else coming up with another idea. 

Peter had fought at both the battle against the Chitauri, when he was seven, and it so happened both him and Michelle fought against Ultron, by pure coincidence. However, the entire team fought together when Thanos attacked, being the reason the villain had suspiciously been killed (he really stood no chance against them all with Ned's tech).

On nights that there wasn't a looming threat against all of humanity, they patrolled the streets when their homework was done (not including Wade, he had dropped out to kick ass full-time). During the day, four-fifths of C.A.T were stuck at school, excelling in lessons while still remaining in the background. 

In the end, Midtown High School was the reason C.A.T first ever crossed paths with the Avengers, all because of that damn school trip.

Michelle sat at the very back of the school bus, her legs laying across Peter's lap, who was sitting next to her, and a book in her hands. The music (by some musician called Jeremy Renner or something) blasting from her headphones blocking out the chaos from the other students on the bus.

She ignored the small pieces of paper Flash was rolling into balls, ripping them out of an old textbook and aiming at her head, giggling like a child at the other end of the row of seats. Ned was sat next to him, snickering when his friend managed to land one directly on Michelle's nose and she finally looked up to glare at Flash, making the other teen turn pale then immediately stop annoying her.
