I couldn't help but gawk at Lila's stylish yet undoubtedly expensive Mercedes Benz G wagon as she pressed the button on her keys to unlock it.

"So, the new girl lives in Dayton Estate, huh?" Lila asked, making conversation as she started to drive off.

"Yeah."

"You live there too?" I added as I quickly buckled my seat belt.

"Of course."

"I wouldn't be popular if I didn't." she chuckled.

"Does Lakyn live there too?" I pried.

"Yes, he does." she gulped.

"As well as Miles, though I am sure you know that already." she added.

Who the hell is miles? I've never heard of this person in my life.

"Miles?"

"Who the hell is Miles?" I asked rather confused.

"Hale, I mean." Lila corrected herself.

"Why did you call him Miles?" I questioned further.

"Because that's his real name, he just prefers to go by Hale." Lila answered as she slowed down at a yellow light.

"Why?" I pushed.

I can't help it I'm just so curious as to why he would go by the name hale if his real name is miles. It just doesn't make sense to me.

"Family reasons." she answered briefly, obviously not wanting to give too much detail into Hale's life.

"What about you?" I asked which caught her off guard.

"What do you mean 'what about me?'" Lila raised her eyebrow.

"You hate going by Lilac." I stated looking out the window at the dark forest rushing past the expensive vehicle.

"There is no deep meaning behind it, I just simply do not like it."

"I think it's obscure." She told me as she made a left turn.

"I like it." I said matter-of-factly.

"It's different, unlike my boring ass name." I added off the top of my head.

"At least you aren't named after a stupid purple flower." she smiled tightly.

"I mean, according to the bible, my name literally was used for the garden that Adam and Eve first lived in, apparently." I explained.

Shut up Eden she's just going to think you're really weird now. Who am I kidding she probably already thinks that.

"So, you're a flower and I'm a garden." I chuckled to herself.

"How ironic, huh?" I smiled.

"Indeed." she said bluntly.

The rest of the ride was silent, up until we reached the tall gate which prohibited outsiders from entering the residence, using the code Lila had to put into the pad on the side of the gate, a buzz being sounded before it opened automatically, allowing us in.

"Which house is yours?" She asked as she drove slowly.

"That's one." I said pointing over at a tall two-story house.

My house unlike most of the other houses in the estate looked more homey and family orientated that the other snobby expensive houses. It had deep colored paint and dark trimming, tall forest trees outlined the sides of my house, separating it from the rest.
