"W-We received a transmission from commander Poe. He said that Rey took Kylo's hand. She's joined the dark side."
I stood there in shock and fear. One of my best friends, Rey, has joined the dark side.
"I-It can't be possible. She w-wouldn't..." I mumble my knees shaking underneath me
Leia placed her hand on my shoulder trying to comfort me.
"Tell Finn and Poe to meet us at the backup location. If what they say is true then Rey knows the location of our base. We need to evacuate immediately."
Both me and the pilot nod before running to warn the others.
"Everyone load the equipment onto your ships! We're evacuating to plant X-24!" I shout and people immediately began to scramble
"Why?" Rose suddenly asks standing next to me
"Rey's turned. She's with Kylo now."
Her eyes widen in complete shock, "W-What?"
"Yeah I know but I'll fill you in more once we get to X-24."
Rose nods, running over to help out other pilots. After about twenty minutes everything was finally loaded into the main transport ship.
"Alright everyone! Let's hurry up and get out of here!" One of our commanders ordered
"Yes sir!" Me and the rest of the pilots yell scrambling to our ships
I throw on my helmet, quickly starting up my X wing. Just as I got in the sky I receive a transmission from the main ship.
"Kylo's destroyer is here! It's firing at Leia's ship!"
My eyes widen at the sound of Leia's name. She's always been a mother to me, and I damn well will keep her safe.
"We need cover!" Another voice shouts before a faint explosion could be heard
I take a deep breath before responding, "I'll provide cover fire. The rest of you get out of here!" I order looking at the destroyer with rage
"You can't take them on your own!" Rose shouts
"I don't care. It'll give the rest of the fleet time to escape!"
I fire onto the ship gaining attention of a few ion canons.
Rey POV
"Focus the tractor beam on that F/C X-Wing." I command and the captain was quick to follow my order
