Derek: "Hey. You got a second?" he says running up to where Sky is walking through the halls
Sky: "I'm a little busy right now."
Derek: "It's just that me and Meredith got into last night when she found that I hadn't signed the divorce papers and-"
Sky: "Derek" she says gaining his attention "Not right now. "
Derek: "Hey you ok? I know what happened with Jeremiah."
Sky: "I'm fine. I just don't feel like hearing about your relationship with...whoever it's with" she says as her pager beeps "I gotta go."

George: "Ok." he says as him and Alex come into a room
Nurse: "Pete Willoughby, 25-year-old, GSW to the chest. Return of 860 cc's of blood."
Pete: "Oh, damn, this hurts." he says groaning out
Nurse: "He's put out more than 200 cc's over the past hour."
Pete: "Movies never say how much it hurts to get shot."
George: "Push morphine, two milligrams. Alex, this is my case."
Alex: "Morphine, five milligrams. You didn't even call him."
George: "I didn't have to call him. I was here first."
Alex: "You got her first because I let you. Where's the chest films?"
George: "I got it. You always get the surgery. Today, I'm getting a surgery."
Sky: "You two wanna act like professionals?" she says coming into the room while rolling her eyes at the men "He's one of Seattle's finest. You've got an entire police force watching you" she says as they look out at the group of officers watching them making George wave at them awkwardly "Page Dr. Burke. Let him know you're bringing up a GSW." she says glaring at them before walking out the room

Addison: "Lightning hit a substation. We're running on backup generators. One of them is down. Richard, breathe."
Richard: "The only means of transporting patients from the ER to the OR isn't working. Don't tell me to breathe. I'll breathe if I want to breathe." he says as they walk over to an elevator where Sky, Bailey, and Burke are pacing as two men tries to get the doors open
Man: "Caught between floors."
Richard: "How bad is it?"
Sky: "Two interns and a GSW to the chest."
Addison: "Good air in, bad air out."
Richard: "Come on, people, get those doors open."
Man: "It's jammed. It won't open."
Bailey: "Move."
Man: "This is as wide as it goes."
Bailey: "What...What did you two do?" she asks bending down to look inside
George and Alex: "Nothing."
Burke: "How's the patient?"
George: "He's not looking so good."

Alex: "Hey, Pete, what are you doing?"
Pete: "I have to get home."
Alex: "Pete, you're in the hospital."
Pete: "Need to get home. Need to get home."
Sky: "What's his blood pressure?" she asks while bending down to look inside at them
George: "It's not reading. He's too agitated."
Sky: "How's his pulse?"
Alex: "Thready, but still there."
Sky: "Do you have instruments?"
Alex: "Just a code box and gloves."
Sky: "You didn't bring an open chest tray?"
Alex: "We thought-"
Sky: "No time for excuses. Blood pressure."
George: "I've taken it three times."
Sky: "And?"
George: "I can't hear a systolic over 50. He's gonna die." he says as Pete groans and Sky and Burke exchange a look before he bends down to look at them
Burke: "lntubate him. I'll be back."
George: "Where are you going?"
Burke: "To get an instrument tray."
Sky: "You guys are going to have to open up his chest."
Bailey: "Are you sure about that?"
Sky: "No."she says as Burke runs to get the instruments while Sky goes to talk to Richard

Richard: "This is unconscionable. Not enough power to move those elevators?"
Sky: "They're doing what they can to replace the backup generator. Fire department is standing by."
Richard: "Critical patients?"
Sky: "Moved to south wing."
Richard: "lncoming trauma?"
Sky: "Rerouted to Mercy West."
Richard: "That backup should have been replaced last year."
Sky: "Yes, sir."
Richard: "Why didn't it happen?"
Sky: "Chief, you'd have to ask maintenance. I wouldn't know. I wasn't here."
Richard: "Sky knowing where money goes in a hospital is one of your things. In another life you could've been an accountant. Tell me whose butt to kick."
Sky: "That would be yours, Chief. You didn't authorize the replacement generator, saving money for the new MRl machine" she says making him give her a look making her become awkward "Um I need to get on back down to the elevator."

Burke: "Hey, this isn't gonna be too sterile, but we can still try. Prep and drape the patient." he says as Sky comes back over to them and bends down next to Burke, watching as they get ready to operate on Pete
Alex: "We're really gonna do this."
Sky: "Take these" she says holding a scalpel out to Alex as he just stands there frozen "Karev, take the scalpel."
George: "Alex! Come on. Alex! Ventilate! I got it. What do I do?" he says making Sky give Alex a look before turning back to George
Burke: "Make a large, anterior, lateral, midaxillary incision in the fifth intercostal space."
George: "How-How large?"
Sky: "As long as possible. You need to get two hands in there. It needs to be long and deep."
Burke: "Use the scissors if you have to."
George: "Ok."
Sky: "Don't cut into the lung or heart."
George: "How can I be sure of that?" he says as Sky and Burke give one another a look before she turns back the elevator
Sky: "You just have to be sure."
George: "We're not in Kansas anymore."

Izzie: "Can you see anything? Poor George, he doesn't have the steadiest hands."
Bailey: "lzzie."
Izzie: "Yeah?"
Bailey: "He can hear you."
Burke: "O'Malley? How you doing down there?"
Bailey: "The fire department's here. They can get the doors open."
Sky: "No. Nobody works on the elevator. I have an open chest and a very nervous intern in there. Keep them back until I give the word."
Bailey: "Ok, guys, we're not going..."
Burke: "O'Malley?"
George: "I didn't cut the heart or the lungs. Dr. Burke, Dr. Rivers. I didn't cut the heart or the lungs."
Sky: "Good, good, O'Malley. Really good. Now, check for injuries and do a pericardiotomy."
George: "I'll need some lap pads, forceps, Metzenbaums and Satinsky clamps?"
Burke: "Yes, you will." he says looking at Sky as the two smile at the man while looking at him proudly

George: "I removed a small clot from the pericardium. No obvious cardiac injuries."
Burke: "Any change in the vitals?"
Alex: "BP's still too low to register."
Sky: "We need to cross-clamp the aorta. Stick your hand in and bluntly dissect down until you feel two tube-like structures. The esophagus will be more medial and anterior."
George: "I feel one tube that's easily collapsible and the other's more muscular, spongy. I feel I can feel the spine just underneath it."
Burke: "Yes! You're touching the aorta."
George: "I'm touching the aorta."
Burke: "Wrap the index finger of your left hand around it and apply the Satinsky clamp with your right hand."
George: "Got it. Wait, l-I think I can localize the bleeding. I think it's coming from the inferior vena cava."
Sky: "Can you find the lesion?"
George: "Yeah. Yeah, I think I can feel it. It's too far in to repair."
Sky: "How big is it?"
George: "Small, maybe smaller than a dime."
Burke: "Ok, O'Malley. I want you to take your finger and plug the hole."
George: "I can feel his heart starting to fill more. It's beating a little stronger."
Burke: "Excellent. Keep your finger there."
George: "Ok. Now what?"
Sky: "That's it."
George: "That's it?" he asks as Burke turns over on his back "I just stand here with my finger plugging the hole?"
Sky: "Until we can get you out of that elevator and into the OR. Bailey, you can tell the firemen to get our guys out of there."
Bailey: "Will do. Ok. We're ready."
Burke: "O'Malley."
George: "Yes, sir?"
Burke: "You just flew solo."
George: "Thank you, sir."
Izzie: "Way to go, George." she says bending down to look inside
George: "I have my finger in a heart."
Izzie: "Very cool."

After they get the elevators moving again, Burke and Sky hurry to bring Pete to the OR where they successfully operate on him

Sky: "How's your patient? The one that got her soul back?" she says going over to where Derek is sitting in the lobby after they've changed Derek: "She's going to be fine

Sky: "How's your patient? The one that got her soul back?" she says going over to where Derek is sitting in the lobby after they've changed
Derek: "She's going to be fine. What about you? I know what Jeremiah meant to you."
Sky: "I'll be fine. It'll hurt for a while but..." she says as she sees the look on his face "You haven't signed those divorce papers yet, have you?"
Derek: "Sky. Tell me what to do" he says making her chuckle a little "God, why does this have to be so hard?"
Sky: "It's not hard. It's painful but it's not hard. Come on, you know what to do already. If you didn't, you wouldn't be in so much pain." she says giving him a smile before heading out the hospital to go home
