Chapter 7

Sky walks into a break room to get her some coffee and when she enter she looks over to see the awkward looks being exchanged between Mark, Callie, and Addison making her chuckle a little while shaking her head and moving to pour herself a cup of coffee as they all turn to look at her

Sky: "You know you guys would all suck in Vegas. Your poker faces are terrible." she says throwing her spoon away and walking out the room with an amused look on her face

Sky: "How's it going?" she asks after Derek called her

Derek: "Wonderful. I am having a wonderful time." he says through clenched teeth making her chuckle a little

Sky: "That bad?"

Derek: "I want a shark to hook on to my line and pull me deep under the water."

Sky: "Well incase you do get murdered by a fish, I get your land. I mean I don't know what I'll do with it but..."

Derek: "Deal." he says as Sky sees Addison walk past her with tears in her eyes

Sky: "Let me call you back."

Derek: "I might not answer."

Sky: "You ok?" she asks following Addison into the bathroom and hearing her crying behind a stall 

Addison: "Yeah. I'm fine. I'm ok. I'm good."

Sky: "Don't make me climb over this stall. I'll do it. I've done it before but I was mostly drunk" she says helping Addison up once she opens the door "You're not ok."

Addison: "I don't know why. There's no reason that this should affect me this much. I'm used to this. I am, but-"

Sky: "Used to what?"

Addison: "That woman. She's eight months pregnant and yesterday she's just as healthy as can be, and today? Today her baby's dead." she cries as Sky gets a sad look in her eyes before handing her a napkin

Addison: "They are a happy couple" she says as they stand outside the couples room watching them smile at each other "Look at them. They love each other. They should have everything. Happy people should have happy things happen to them."

Callie: "Yeah."

Addison: "I gotta go tell them."

Sky: "Wait" she says stopping her from moving "The moment you tell them, they won't be happy anymore. So give them a few more minutes. Just let them be happy. A few more minutes."

Mark: "How's Derek doing?" he asks coming into the room where Sky is looking at a pair of xrays along with Meredith behind him

Sky: "Why? Feeling left out of the boys club."

Mark: "No. I just wanted to know how he was in general."

Sky: "Uh huh. Sure."

Mark: "Besides who wants to spend the night on the ground, surrounded by bugs and animals."

Sky: "I don't know. When I talked to Derek he was enjoying himself. They even talked about staying out there for an extra day." she says smiling at him before walking away

Meredith: "Dr. Rivers. Sky" she says following behind her quickly

Sky: "Yeah."

Meredith: "Is it true? That Derek is having a good time?" she asks as Sky chuckles a little to herself

Sky: "What was supposed to be a Shepherd and Burke trip turned into a Shepherd, Burke, Webber, O'Malley, Karev, Joe, and Walter trip. He's miserable. But the sad puppy look on Mark's face made my day. It's a little petty but... I don't care." she says as Meredith chuckles a little while watching her walk away

Sky: "You ok?" she asks seeing Addison walking outside the hospital after their shift finishes

Addison: "I will be. Thank you for today. You have every reason not to help me and yet you do."

Sky: "You're welcome."

Addison: "He's a cute one." she says seeing Benjamin standing over by his car making Sky smile a little

Sky: "Yeah he is. You're not gonna meet him though." she says making Addison chuckle a little

Addison: "Didn't think I would." she says as Sky nods her head before walking towards him making him look up at her with a smile
