Derek: "So are you talking to me now?" he asks meeting up with Sky as she walks along the halls

Sky: "You stood me up."

Derek: "I know. And I'm sorry. I should have called you. Make-up coffee?" he says holding out a cup towards her as she takes it from him

Sky: "Fine. I was over it yesterday afternoon. Just knew that you'd bring me something to try to make it up." she gives him a teasing look while taking a sip and he chuckles

Derek: "Mm" he hums as his pager beeps "Well I gotta go. How about dinner? Tonight?"

Sky: "You gonna stand me up?"

Derek: "Funny. You are a funny lady." he sarcasastically says while walking away

Richard: "Functional muscle transfer." he says coming over to the desk where Sky and Mark are currently at

Mark: "What?"

Richard: "For Connie Williams. I was reading up on glossectomies and saw the procedure. Could micro-surgically re-innervate her hypo-glossal nerve."

Mark: "A nerve graft? It's too risky. A free flap's still your best bet."

Richard: "Oh, even if that goes well, you and I both know she'll never speak the same. That woman loves to talk more than anyone I know."

Sky: "A functional muscle transfer?" she asks not having heard of the procedure

Richard: "You won't find it in the books, Sky. It's cutting-edge. You connect the nerves from the leg with the nerves from the tongue. Gives her a shot at really speaking."

Mark: "If it works. They've only done a half a dozen of them."

Richard: "Better than none. Sometimes you gotta push the envelope, Sloan."

Sky: "Do either of you even know how to do this procedure?" she asks looking through the file he handed her as they turn to give her an offended look

Richard: "Are you saying that we're too old to learn new ways, Sky?"

Sky: "Well something tells me that the grey in your hair wasn't exactly optional."

Richard: "Are you saying we're old dogs who can't learn new tricks?"

Mark: "We're not old dogs." he states before she can answer

Richard: "We still got it."

Sky: "Whatever you say."

Mark: "I did do a functional muscle transfer to restore elbow function once."

Richard: "Elbow, tongue... that's pretty close."

Sky: "Is it though?" she asks clicking her tongue as they just wave her off

Richard: "Come on. What do you say? Let's light this candle."

Mark: "Yes, sir."

Richard: "Age is just a number, Sky."

Sky: "Oh, yes, sir." she says giving them a teasing look as they walk off

Lexie: "I...I...I can't see the cords. You should do this."

Meredith: "Okay, you can do it. Just don't rock up against the teeth. Just pull straight up."

Nurse: "Pulse ox is down to 86."

Sky: "What happened?" she asks running into the room

Meredith: "That wasn't bad." she says as they drape a sheet over the patient and Sky looks through the chart
