Chapter 16

Burke: "Quiet board." he says walking over to where Richard is standing in front of the OR board

Richard: "I know."

Burke: "That's a bad sign."

Richard: "Don't you think I know that?"

Derek: "That's a quiet board." he says coming over at the same time as Sky and making Richard groan

Sky: "Is he in a bad mood?"

Burke: "Quiet board."

Derek: "He hates a quiet board."

Richard: "I can hear you talk about me."

Burke: "We're saying-"

Richard: "A quiet board means trouble. A quiet board is death. A quiet board bodes bad news. And stop looking at me like that." he says walking away

Burke: "Dr. Shepherd."

Derek: "Dr. Burke" he says calling him back over to him "You and l, we've known each other for a while now, right?"

Burke: "Yes."

Derek: "We've done many successful surgeries together?"

Burke: "Yes."

Derek: "Your girlfriend is my ex's friend."

Burke: "Yes."

Derek: "Why can't we use each other's first name?"

Burke: "I don't think so."

Derek: "Seriously?"

Burke: "Seriously. Dr. Shepherd."

Derek: "Dr. Burke." he says watching as the man walks away

Sky: "Aw. Look at you trying to make friends." she cooes teasingly at him

Derek: "Shut up."

Sky: "It's adorable. Really."

Derek: "Whatever." he mutters walking away as she chuckles before heading to the pit

Sky: "Dr. Bailey, good to see you back here. Why are you back here?" she asks seeing the woman walking down the hall

Bailey: "My interns are idiots."

Sky: "Can't argue with you there." she says chuckling a little while grabbing a cover up and gloves as they head into the ambulance bay

Cristina: "Let's get back to the point."

George: "You had a point?"

Cristina: "Yeah. Which surgeon are we having to suck up to today?"

Bailey: "That would be me." she says making them turn around to see the two women

Cristina: "Dr. Bailey?"

Bailey: "I've been gone two weeks, two weeks, and you ran off two residents? I've got people phoning me, telling me my interns are Rosemary's Babies. Nobody wants you. Do you think I have time for this? I am pregnant. I'm supposed to be on bed rest. I'm growing a human being. I'm supposed to be calm. Do I look calm to you? Did I raise you fools to be pariahs?" she asks as George pushes Izzie and Meredith to head over to her

George: "You're back." he says hugging her as Sky chuckles a little

Bailey: "I'm not back."

George: "You're not?"

Bailey: "Get off me" she says as they see the ambulance coming "Yang, Karev, Grey, stay here and wait for the incoming case. O'Malley, page Addison Shepherd. Stevens, get a wheelchair."
